Biggest positive has to be no Dessers. Hagi actually getting a full game is a bonus although he did look rusty at times. More minutes in the legs for Igamane as well helps. But deary me still some boring slow play at times it beggars believe, maybe a formation change would be beneficial like not having two holding midfielders on the pitch at the same time.

The best review I’ve heard today. To focus on the good news, that’s 2 domestic games in a row, where we’ve looked like we can score (for more than 5-10 minutes)… and Clement looks like he’s learning (albeit at a glacial pace)… and we won comfortably (even though it’s hard not to feel nervous)…and Aberdeen dropped 2 more points. So in regards to yesterday's team selection; apparently Sterling has a "blocked nerve" it is "not an injury but it means he's not available" according to Clement....he looked fine when he was walking off the pitch on Thursday, a very pissed off man..... Standouts for me were; Soapy who I thought was absolutely solid and was very close to getting my MOTM. Nico and Connor worked hard all over the pitch especially when having to cover our captain. Hagi who I gave MOTM to, was always looking to get the ball forward quickly and was attempting to play the ball through the lines. I totally agree with you CJ about Igamane. He held the ball up, brought his teammates into the game and had some shots at goal. Playing in these games is where he will learn more than what he does against European teams. When he played Hamza AND Danilo up front I thought "WOW, finally Phil is showing that there is a game plan B. So maybe there is some hope for him yet." We looked dangerous when we had the 2 up top.... but no, after 10 minutes Clement changed what WAS WORKING back to the system that every team knows we play, finds it relatively easy to play against and DOESN'T WORK. Credit where credit is due, I thought Taverneir played not too badly...for him BUT Vaclav wasn't the dangerous player we have witnessed recently and I believe that's because he was having to worry about not getting too far forward as he had to cover Taverneir as did Nico and Connor. It is not ideal having to tell other players to curb their natural game just to cover for one man? That's a recipe for FAILURE. If you asked me who I would prefer between Robin Propper and Jack Sanders then I would take Sanders. The lad is solid, quick and isn't afraid to throw himself in front of shots, which, when truth be told, is what we need. A CB partnership of Soapy and Sanders would be a formidable one. Clement said in his aftermatch comments yesterday "I see more & more players understanding that philosophy" he said this because he mentioned wanting to win every game, so does that mean that there are players at RANGERS FC that didn't know or understand the philosophy of winning every game? If that's true, why are they at Rangers? I've said it before & will keep saying it; Clement can handle European football but doesn't know how to play against the "park the bus" attitude of Scottish football. Domestic football is our bread & butter. It is THAT, that should be our priority. To defeat the "park the bus" attitude the team needs to; move the ball QUICKLY, constantly look to move into space to receive a pass, pass the ball through the lines, shoot whenever the chance presents itself and to follow in on any shots. But we are still TOO SLOW & lethargic in our play. Serious question here; are our strikers/forward players being coached to stand at the edge of the box instead of heading to the front post or indeed back post? For example, if Vaclav is going down the right and is ready to cross it, why don't ANY of our players take a gamble and try to get to the front/back post? Once again Clement used the "goalkeeper made some good saves" excuse along with "new players" etc etc etc..... It is the SAME excuses game after game. Yes I'm delighted we won but where is the "better team" that we were meant to be seeing in October/November? Yesterday was the 1st of December and I didn't see a TEAM that is playing much better than it was at the start of the season. So I'm sticking with my attitude that it is TIME TO GO PHIL because he still can't get to grips with our domestic game.

It's SO BAD you see comments that think Gerrards 1 piece of silverware that came in a behind closed doors season, out of 9 was good in comparison. A nostalgia for Gerrard when in reality he wasn't that good either. Couldn't deliver when it counted. Although i'll give him that he managed to compete with celtic and ended up beating them more a fair period of time, more than losing to them. You could argue he was building something there and had he stated the following season could have kept it going & up a level. We will never know, but it was the same players more or less that following season that got Gio the sac. That seemed to collapse in the big pressure moments in front of the re-entry of fans again. Could have been they would just have reverted to the previous 2 seasons under Gerrard before the title win. He didn't seem to do very well in Saudi or with Villa before that. If he was such a great manager surely he'd be managing in the premiership and not have to run away to Saudi Arabia. I will agree he seemed to suit us far better than Dopey Dome does.

I think our formation adapts well in Europe, and that's why we hold our own there, we do the same in the league and yes we struggle, we don't play like celtic do, keep shooting keep crossing high pressure. We play controlled and we have since Gerrard was here, that's why we have done well in Europe since Gerrard was here. When we won the league it was covid time, morelos was on it, no pressure from the fans on the team, we change the way we play can be beneficial in scotland but in Europe we will not do as well.

Rangers need an iron curtain defense.. a no prisoners attitude and not worry about yellow cards.. because you see teams stand off Celtic scared to touch them.. but there wee Japanese maeda touches all players he like a wasp you can,t get away from.. so you have to give him.. a swat.. like a solid fair challenge when you get the chance.. a knee to knee clash that is 50 50

Rangers need to employ Paul Mccenna,the Hypnotist and tell me team that celtic,Aberdeen,Kilmarnock etc are Borrussia Dortmund,R.B Leipzig,Porto etc and we'll be unbeatable. I honestly believe that we win the cup final and hopefully that will give us a belief for next season

Maybe yes, after an intense performance on Thursday, as the players looked off the pace at the start of the game (and the middle ... and at the end to be fair lol). It is concerning that Sterling apparently can't manage to play twice a week ... it's increasingly concerning that Propper & Soutter are our top 2 centre backs. Propper just doesn't fill me with confidence when I see him play, and with Balogun as backup at 36 I think a CB is a January MUST BUY.
