Sifan Hassan and Elise Cranny went head-to-head in an electrifying race in Portland, showcasing their incredible talents and fierce competition. Both athletes are known for their world-class speed, endurance, and ability to rise to the occasion in big moments, and this battle was no exception. The race was a true display of determination, with Hassan’s tactical racing and Cranny’s fierce willpower keeping fans on the edge of their seats. It’s not just about the speed-it's about the heart and drive these athletes bring to the track. Watching two of the best in the world push each other to the limit is what makes track & field so thrilling. This battle was one for the books!

Can't understand the commentary. They're going to run at 14:42 for 5000m n Hassan runs 13* for 5000m. R they so unknowledgeable?! She was dialling it back so that she wouldn't win by a whole lap. This was a very very slow 5000m. Horrible commentary!!

These announcers are a joke, trying to imply Cranny had a chance to beat Sifan ("she has her on the ropes!" LOL!!). Sifan has previously run this race a full 30 seconds faster than she ran here. Clearly, she was taking a leisurely jog (for her) up til the last 100 meters. None of these women had a chance, as they aren't in her class. The only way she could lose is if she fell, and she would likely still win.
@jashuasmith93613 ай бұрын
For argument sakes, even if Cranny did have a chance. Still Siffan didnt deserve the way how that commenter was undermining her. Saying things like against the ropes. Acting like siffan was barley in it & just hanging on like some under dog rookie, wasnt right. Say this could be interesting or we just might have a battle on our hands here at the very least. Didnt even make the respect mutual. Wtf he’s smoking.

Yay! Go, Allie, go! I admire each and every woman in this race. But I am a long-time fan of Allie, and am delighted to see her triumph against such a strong field. Personally, I have always felt that the steeplechase is the most demanding of athletic events. Those hurdles get harder and harder to clear with each lap.

US Olympic Trials are really punishing. KC Lightfoot should have been given a bye to be in the USA team. Same for Sandi Morris. I am not sure if Brynn King can perform in Paris. She is probably not going to make finals in Paris. As it is, she registered a no height in Ed Murphy. 😢 Perhaps Brynn is injured. KC is also nursing an injury but he managed to perform despite it. For such a technical event, it is easy to have an off day. USA should look at consistency and ranking of athlete in their selection.

I’ve never seen a runner lead the pacers. Love it! And the pacers couldn’t keep with her. Love Hassan!! Her running looks so smooth yet strong.
@kinseybruno59205 ай бұрын
are the commentators realistically questioning Sifan not having a pacer. She doesn’t care. She lost the pack to pop a stretch in the marathon and still caught the pack and won. She doesn’t care, she’s not human. SIFAN IS THE BEST ❤

No it isn't. Sifan's "thing" is to hang out near the back or middle of the pack for most of the race. These commentators know nothing.

Nice job Sifan Hassan, we all know she can even run much faster than this. No one talking about how Cranny was giving no space at all to Hassan, even tagging her and almost causing a fall at 10:17. She better be appreciative of Hassan doing all the work in this
Allie Ostrander congrats ive watched you train these last few months on youtube you did fantastic what brilliant win
