I think if hocker put himself in better position in second to last lap he wins. He had to kick the whole field in 200m… crazy he almost did it

First time ever seeing Kemboi running a tactical race and winning it. Congratulations. I remember the battles he had we Abdihamid Nur of NAU in the NCAA finals and lost terribly. Glad he’s more tactical racer

Centro is done as a National class 1,500m runner, total absence of presence, competitiveness. What else is sad is that if Hocker was a world class runner, which he could be but isn’t now, he would be in Europe, which is where you currently find Nuguse, our only real world class 1500m runner.

Centro was pretty mid even in his prime, his Olympic gold was 100% just because of his sprint ability and in his prime years he didn't have great competition to be honest. Not that I could do better but still it's kinda disrespectful to put him in the title when he wasn't even in contention

Hocker had an Achilles injury from which he has just recovered, and why he didn't make the US team.

Hocker has been injured. As Nuguse was, which is why he wasn't at the olympics. From what I remember, Hocker has never been beaten by Nuguse

@@triniboy05 What does “more primed” mean? If it means they were better, then yes, the runners in Oslo were more primed. Ingebrigtsen would have smoked these fools and eaten a sandwich before they crossed the finish line.

He will at USAs. First race for him since January, 3:34 off of very little training, he will be ready come July.

Only 2 people hit the WC standard. Could’ve been a faster race, if someone would’ve passed Lumb at the bell lap they could’ve had guys dip under 3:34. Nonetheless exciting race!

Engels and Centro are toast. Their best days are behind them. Cole needs to get a better strategy than sprinting the last 80 meters. That's not going to cut it with Ingebrigtsen and all the other truly elite mid-distance runners.
