Agree! She looks great. She looked far weaker and more frail when she ran 9:10.

What’s up with the prize money?? I work part time and I could put up this money for these athletes. These are some of our best athletes in our country! Give them some damn money!! Why are athletes paid last, after everyone else stuffs their pockets first!

The prize money is a portion of the livestream revenue. It can grow as they get more paid viewers.

Portland Track is an all-volunteer organization that puts the vast majority of money that comes in to the prize money purse. This year, through the help of partners and saved funds, that was over $40,000. On top of that, $3 of every PPV purchase goes into the prize purse, making the Tracklnd program the first broadcast revenue sharing program with athletes in the sport (no other meet explicitly shares broadcast revenue with athletes). If viewers want to boost the prize purse, they can do so by 'Sweetening the Pot' for any given prize money race in the meet. All of this occurs at Tracklnd.com/meet/ptf.

This race has always been strange to me......who came up with this idea? Racewalking is my worst though. I am glad for Quigly just the same.
