Think you need to read up on parachute payments r.e Southampton. You don’t get parachute payments in the first season after relegation from the Premier League. If you then go straight up you don’t get a penny.

I think what’s happening at Blackburn is all down to Eustace, Downing and Gardiner. How they’ve not only made Blackburn hard to beat but also got a way of playing that wins games and doesn’t concede a lot of goals is something to take note of it.

Come off it! Last season the top four in the Championship were better Look at Leeds Yes they are saying they play better as a tea. THATis a euphemism for poorer players The Leeds side that just missed out last year would have had a decent chance of stopping up with that side plus the money I love the championship but I haven't seen a side there that would have a cat in halls chance of stopping up Sorry

Last season Burnley could not score. This year they still struggle to create offence. The Premier league is starting to generate more goals this season. They need to unload a couple always injured players, make sure they keep Trafford and pick up two attacking forwards in January. But first they must end up first or second in Championship.

Really pedantic point this but does the use of the term "number 6" to mean a defensive midfielder grate with anyone else? This is Britain not Beunos Aires. A number 6 is a centreback here. It's a tactical term that we've picked up recently from foreign coaches. I know squad numbers came into the professional game a long time ago now but there'll be thousands of centrebacks playing with a number 6 on their back up and down the country every weekend across the kids, amateur and non-league game.

The Championship is a far far better league than the EPL but Burnley (my team) find themselves in a strange place by seemingly being too good for the Championship but not good enough for the Premier League...the evidence is there and is irrefutable. I personally much prefer the Championship to the EPL all day and every day.

I agree with you Joe. Other teams can entertain me but I'm only interested in a Burnley win....it doesn't matter how well or badly they play.

Still haven't come to terms with how we won the Championship with 101 points and then only managed 24 in the prem. Kompany got it all right in the Championship but all wrong in the Prem. I look at the Prem with the likes of Palace, brentford, Wolves and Everton and think that it shouldn't be impossible to compete. We need another Dyche to keep us up and maybe Parker is the bloke.

Kompany seems to be doing a good job at Bayern - top of the Bundesliga with a four-point cushion. They lost 1- 0 last night in the German Cup, owing to their goalkeeper getting red carded after 20 mins.

'Another away defeat for Leeds, Massive issues away' - I think we're overegging these issues slightly, although granted we do need to improve our away form a bit. Only 2 away losses (both 1-0) out of the 9 played, and we would have exactly the same record as Sheff Utd's (W4, D3, L2) if Meslier hadn't dropped that clanger at Sunderland. We've had harder fixtures away too. We've played 7 top half teams, 2 bottom half teams away, so a lot of easier away fixtures to come. I agree 100% with no proper number 6 in the squad currently hampering us away though, I think Ampadu coming back soon will improve us. Can't wait until he's back and then we can see Ampadu and Tanaka together finally in midfield. Should be great fun.

I think if we go up this time with Scott Parker. We will keep the nucleus of the Team, particularly the defence of possible. I’m sure Scott Parker will identify the quality needed to make us a team that can compete in the Premier League. In addition in my opinion Scott Parker is more experienced than Kompany who surprisingly was more attack minded. UTC
