Rams fan here…Paul warne spoke before the game to say how much respect he had for Mark Robins…played together, nearly joined his team of staff…keep in regular Contact and good friend of his….its abit ironic that we come and get our first win away at Coventry under Paul warne & he’s now helped his friend get the sack…Paul warne now becomes the current longest serving championship manager….Robins been a great Boss for sky Blues and I’m as Baffled as every other football fan on the sacking….all the best Coventry City & hope you get the right man in…we want you in this division as a fellow midlands club…here’s hoping you don’t collapse 🙏🐏

Feeling exactly the same for all the same reasons. Something must have gone on behind the scenes. Not been the same since AV left. Whose decision was that? Robins has been our saviour and had the trust he deserved. Huge thank-you Mark for all the pleasure and entertainment you provided You gave us the opportunity to be proud of our football club again and put CCFC back into the national spotlight for all the right reasons. Thank-you for everything you,ve given and good luck for your future.

Robins has been a dead man walking since Viveash was sacked in the summer. He’s cut a lonely figure since despite being surrounded by a host of iPad technicians. Thank you Mark, you will always be a Coventry legend. There’s only one Mark Robins. 👏

Stunned. Never thought this was even on the cards. Doug King must have something planned. Like you say I'm also angry. Stability was so important for us. @MR you will be missed.

Very well articulated and argued….a thought and emotion provoking post. As you say, DK has has pressed the panic button far, far too early but it’s more than that. He clearly has a plan to get the Club in to the PL, not least for the largesse it offers, but he might also really feel for the Club, too. I think he’s looked at the management and coaching structures at PL (and other) clubs and has set in train a process to replicate a similar structure which he thinks will deliver success; essentially he’s sees the current set up as ‘old school’ and ineffective. And it may yet work, after all Sky Blues fans do want success. But…..surely, even in the brutally competitive sphere of top football, there just has to a bit, just a bit, of leeway, room, allowance, appreciation and thanks for a man who has resurrected this great Club from the depths of despair to the heights of a sniff of the PL? Surely morality, too, has a part to play…..for the fans, it’s an emphatic yes.

Robins turned the club around and this is how DK repays him. Since he purchased the club, DK had record season ticket sales, playoff final and FA Cup semi final. The amount he made compared to last owners was a windfall and then he sacks him. Fool!!!

Cov fan, I'm stunned!! Doug King had better have a masterplan because the fans will not have it. We took on SISU for years and won, we can easily starve your revenue streams Doug, the fans are the lifeblood of any club not the custodian because that is what you are.

Robins, like Viveash, doesnt fit Doug Kings vision of dipsticks with ipads because theyre actual manager's. As the statement says, he wants a "head coach within the clubs new structure"

Lets have some context here, I am a massive Robins fan and I'm also gutted to see him go on these terms but our performances since the Utd semi final have been so poor. This season we have four wins, two of which came against 10 men and of our 14 league games this year we have lost half. Robins has been an outstanding aervant to coventry and he will forever be a legend but he hasnt had answers this season. Doug King has tried to change the infrastructure of the club and in my opinion Robins is not a head coach, he is a manager and needs his hand in every element of the club. Clearly the feeling at the club was this wasnt going ro get us there. Robins has been far better than anyone expected but lets not pretend he has performed well this season or the back end of last. Devastated that its ended this way but lets celebrate his success rather than turn on the club.

DK out! - bad mistake in getting rid of MR. Its DK fault in changing all the backroom staff. Back Stabber or what! We got rid of one bad owner and seems we now have another.
