@@dogfoodgaming2305 Well if you have a good spot where you can confuse it lets say then it doesnt seems so scary, but its glancing blow do quite a bit of damage I find, ofc depends on your gear as well. A struggle aint nice if it does come to that! I hope you see one soon!

@leopardtrixgaming have you seen Zaknafein newest video on the cougar, if you have 100% protection rating it pretty much can't hurt you as long as you land a shot and get the glancing blow! You have to go to the prison to get the bulletproof vest though. Also thank you I'm definitely very excited to fight it for the first time!

The cougar claw knife is specifically for self defense in struggles, and it’s the best weapon you can use for a struggle. I believe it is equally as effective as the hunting knife in regards to time spent harvesting but it’s best to not put wear and tear on the cougar knife just to cut up some curtains or to quarter an animal, use the hunting knife or survival knife for those tasks instead.

Yep, as mentioned I think the cougar claw knife if more aimed at struggles. Does about the same as far as harvesting. The survival knife from the trader however, haven't tested it out much yet but I assume it might harvest quicker. I'll let you know if I find out hehe

@@leopardtrixgaming Sadly someone did a test. The harvest speed is the same. Cougar knife is better for struggles. So a cougars little teeth is better than a military grade knife that's harder to get? Annoying.

@@leopardtrixgaming At least I know to get all my gear and materials out of the prepper abandoned cache before completing the Trader quest. I already went through one iteration of losing virtually all the gear and materials I had stored there when the prepper caches were added back to the game. I could use the other prepper cache down the valley though way less convenient. Blowing up that place because of what it cost me might soothe my feelings about losing all that stuff (Hinterland said Lost and Found failed to execute so that's why my stuff was lost). Nice work.

I can confirm after doing about 20 different trades that you are correct. I've literally been in the middle of a blizzard, dropped off the last little bit of water and within two real-world minutes there was a Aurora

Anyone have the scripted aurora bugged? I'm doing the first trade, the aurora was bugged, radio wasn't working. In fact, almost nothing about the aurora was right. No lights on, no radio, only the aurora lights in the shy, and the computer in the gas station was on, but you could not interact with it. Now I'm waiting for another aurora.

@ was it still early in the evening ? Or did the entire aurora pass through the entire night without anything happening ? Because I have never heard/experience your case. I only know that when I did the trade too early, the aurora lights appeared but I need to pass another hour or 2 to get the radio working

I've had that happen a few different times. One of the times it was the bunker with the Special revolver in it. Another time that bunker did spawn but it's spawned in Ash Valley so the collector's rifle didn't spawn

I think you do yes, I think the trade box locks after every interaction, so when you complete a trade or pick up items. I felt like I definitely had to follow a sequence of actions. Not 10000% sure tho, I can try check in my footage.

Yes you do, the trader is always unavailable before you take the items out, you can test it yourself when you put the items in and ready trade which locks the box, then a scripted Aurora will appear, you signal to him, and the trader becomes unavailable -> can't be traded with. Then you go pick up your reward, go back immediately -> the trader is immediately available to trade and talk to. Note you can only do that in Coastal Highway so do prepare

@@leopardtrixgaming That's probably what triggered the others to spawn. I killed my first cougar after climbing down from the Gold Mine. After that, my Ash Canyon map became infested with them. I'm not sure if that's what the devs intended, but I do like the idea of Ash Canyon being more difficult to navigate now, especially considering how good the technical backpack is.

@@codymacs I think the idea was if you kill one, another will spawn and if you kill that one, then another - then if you kill the 3rd they disappear for a while? I think that is the intention anyway.

Not sure what is going on with the cabin fever, it should be off if youve turned it off. In my custom game so far I havent had cabin fever and I have it turned off. Are you referring to the polaroid in the basement? I think that is the last one - at 09:56 shows the basement where you get the last polaroid.

@@leopardtrixgaming Ok, I now see that what I thought was cabin fever isn't. When I sprint, there's a circle on the lower right that shows how fast I'm running out of energy, but there's a portion of that circle in red. The more time I spend indoors, the larger that red portion gets, and it robs me of a large bit of sprinting. As for the polaroid, yes- that's the one. The script said I should locate where that picture was taken, but I haven't a clue where that is. Anyway, I went back in the bunker and picked up the tactical jacket and Rudiger's watch, and that's when the game said I'd completed it.

@weylandyutani7973 the red part on the stamina circle depends on your gear (sprint penalty) & tiredness and weight. If you follow the steps in the guide I show every step but if youve completed it then all good :)

@Cookie42012 The main differences I've noticed is different and more moose spawns. As well timberwolves in regions they werent before. Bears so far seem to be in the same places.

​​@@Cookie42012I've played through about 25 hours on the new update and have been to 8 different map areas. The difference is now, some of the wolf spawns on Timberwolf Mountain can also be Timberwolf spawns and vice versa. I was in an area in Black Rock and there were Timberwolves in the Foreman's burnt down house. I came back 3 days later and there were just three regular wolves there. I was in mystery Lake in front of the dam near the bridge add three separate times it spawned a wolf and one time it randomly spawned a moose. That happened to me two different areas on mystery Lake once literally in front of the camp office to the left on the train tracks. I'm not sure if it's a bug or not but it seems like it's no longer a specific animals in specific areas so there's no way to really learn what's coming which I absolutely love.

For the cougar to appear? 30 days in voyager, but how many days since the update and have you moved region or anything? In my save it also took a bit before the animation showed up even tho I had like 40-50 days already.

@ i haven’t had the animation, and i’m a pretty big nomad so i traverse multiple regions since the update so might just be glitched

@ but 30 days cleared up my new save i made wondering if it was ever gonna spawn 😂
