At the time I was driving for 10 years at the time but the only thing that trainer was teaching was how the tractor trailer end dump works so we were going through Chicago and I was in the middle lane and traffic was kind of thick and I had my jake brake on and he started to yell at me because I had the Jake brake on and he said that he was going to kick me out of the truck and he was going to tell our boss on me I told him that if he thinks about kicking me out of the truck he will get knocked out and he will be the one that is walking home I told him that I have been trucking for 10 years so you aren’t here to teach me how to drive you are only here to show me how to operate the end dump part of things so you can shut your mouth while I’m in the drivers side of the truck you can sit there and shut your mouth sorry but I wasn’t playing around with this fool

What helped me is to pre stage the shifter by holding it towards the next gear (really towards neutral) and then when pushing clutch in it just falls into neutral and you continue pushing it to next gear and clutch again quickly and it goes in

Some of these are ridiculous tips for this problem. If the main switch outside is off, you don't just not get cold air, you get nothing because the APU doesn't turn on. If the belt's gone, it's the same one that runs the alternator so the APU will shut off with a red triangle warning after about 30 seconds. No oil? Also shuts off with a red triangle after about 30 seconds. Did you make up this problem in order to make this video? Because that lid being off wouldn't just not give you cold air, it wouldn't give you any air at all. Maybe some slight breeze of air as it works back in from the space inside the storage area, but noticeably little air of any temperature. And unless you had it worked on, there's no way that lid came off by itself. And if you did have it worked on, that lid would have had to be on for them to test whatever they did to make sure it was working after they did it. So no way you're finding that lid off if you don't know how it happened. I would be surprised if ANYONE has ever had this problem that they didn't cause themselves.

Parked next to you at a truck stop, decided to piss in your fuel tanks while you slept, better there then on the ground between the tandems or truck/trailer. Should help with keeping that fuel from freezing up! 😂 have a good day!

Why do you don't understand or realize that if you own your own truck legally no company can force you to install anything that would cause an additional distractions such as Lane keep assist and lean departure or smoke detectors or any of that other crap. Also if you own your truck and you are the one paying the insurance and all the tags and fuel ifta permits if that truck title and truck registration is in you the owner's name not the company they cannot even dictate that you cannot carry a firearm in your truck now company owns trucks that's different you are pretty much at the mercy of the company and the companies bitch so to speak but if you own your truck outright no company can legally force you to install additional electronic systems nor can they say anything about you carrying a firearm in your own truck or tell you who and when you can have a seat cover (passenger). Think im kidding go talk to any trucking attorney
