Why didn't use some soft wrap when using the vise, for protection of original parts.

Nice and dry inside.... not filled with water and rusted springs. That's why I usually coat the inside of the stantions with the calcium based marine grease too. And fully coat the springs before reassembly. So there is no bare steel surfaces inside. I would also smear a thin layer of suspension grease on the out side of the stantions to make sure that surface is also fully coated. Yeah it probably is once it assembled, but it doesn't hurt. The excess can be wiped clean at the end. I obviously have done this with many winter commuters. Don't know why they stopped putting boots on these to keep dust and dirt off the stantions either , maybe it unnecessary most of the time. Good video and good to see the Suspension grease on the slider it really does make a difference.

Great vid. Interesting how its a simple job but requires specific tools to access the internals. The one thing i dont understand, why does one side require a special suspension grease and not both sides?

how many miles/km should a chain be replaced?
@NiceBikeService4 күн бұрын
It is advisable to change the chain before 2000 km. Ideally, you should have 3 chains and change them every 300-500 km in turn 1-2-3, 1-2-3, etc.

Not adding a new dork disc? Big no-no, given that even if the limit screws are set correctly, the right set of circumstances could still make the chain ovetshift. I know this because it happened to me a month ago.

Merci pour cette video très instructive. Si vous pouviez indiquer quelle type de nettoyant, dégraissant et graisse vous utilisez pour chaque usage, ça serait top !
@NiceBikeService6 күн бұрын
