In this tutorial, the edges of then front don't match in the center with the edges of the back. So, you have a gap. I don't have this gap. The written pattern I purchased says to stitch the back seam first, which I did. My edges meet in the center. I can't imagine that I should seam the sleeves all then way from elbow to the front edge. But, nowhere does it state where to stop. It's like the back of your example here is bigger than the front. I'm so confused now :(

I bought the pattern for the Campfire Cardigan. I completed the 2 hexagons and stitched up the back. I'm kinda stuck now on stitching up the sleeves. How far from the elbow up the shoulder do you stitch them??

I completed my cardigan yesterday. Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial. For this interested, I made the size M/L and used ~1800 yards of Alize Lanagold Classic yarn.

I'm confused about the written instructions. If I were to follow the Collar ribbing instructions, it tells you to make a button hole row every other row: "Collar Ribbing Band:Row 2 (WS): (Do not ch 1), sk slsts along ribbing edge, scblo in next 4, ch 1, sk next st, scblo in each remaining st until 1 remains, sc through both loops of the last st; turn. (8 sc + 1 ch 1 button hole)" and then after this, it tells you to do them every 12 rows. I'm glad I found this video to clarify or I'd be hella salty that I paid $12 for this pattern.

I would love to try making this sweater but Lion Brand says they don’t sell the Comfy Cotton Blend anymore. Do you have suggestions for alternatives that are vegan-friendly? (No wool, alpaca, etc). Thanks so much!

Sounds like you are adding a stitch at the end of the bead row

It’s sad that poles are loved more than people. And a lot of people knit with ❤ to donate to the needy every winter in the hope of keeping poor PEOPLE warm. You should be ashamed of yourself- knit your own instead of sacrilegiously destroying the goodwill of the knitter and taking from the mouths of the needy- for What- for views on KZbin- for 💰. You need to know what it feels like to be cold.
@josmith2002
@josmith2002 Ай бұрын
😳😱☹️If you want to do that then knit your own, and leave the thrift store ones for needy human beings to actually wear, or buy them and give them out to people who need them. Decorate poles with your own labour not others hard work🤬😭

I decided to go bolder with the color instead of one of my usual fave colors. I chose Heartland Haleakala...a beautiful chartreuse... it's gorgeous !!! Heartland yarn is a perfect choice for a lot of garment patterns. I'm more of an advanced crocheter and love quick projects for myself, and do more complicated patterns for others and gifts. So this pattern was great a project to try for myself first. Thanks Jess! ❤

Finished this pattern in medium size. It is lovely. My first finished garment. BUT within 3 hours of wear, it went from my waist down to my hips. And the shoulder/arm area looked so weird. It stretches out every time I move! I know it is an oversized look, but it looked ridiculous. Should I have made a small size to accommodate stretching? Should I pop it in the dryer to shrink it? Help!!!!
@josmith2002
@josmith2002 Ай бұрын
😮😮😢and your first finished garment- Hugs +++ to you. I hope someone can help. All I can suggest is maybe you can weave some elastic or ribbon or both through the existing holes-- to raise it higher to your waist, and to also cinch the shoulders closer together- it could be a real feature piece- just needs some creative weaving 🕸️😅❤

Is it possible to make this cardigan using a size 3 worsted weight yarn instead of 4? And should I go up 1 or 2 hook sizes to compensate for the yarn weight difference?

Hi I am working this pattern from the purchased PDF and I think I found a typo. When it is talking about the single crochet stitches on row 4 of the wave section the end says there should be 180 stitches not 175 like you state in the video. Thank you so much for making this video. I thought I was going crazy since I could not figure out where the other 5 stitches were supposed to be put in.
