I did my first round of double crochets but it curled a lot. is there a way to fix this problem or should i just continue and it will go away?

Love this pattern and video! I’ve made a few and I had a quick question! When making my puff stitch I noticed in the beginning I can see the first “chain two” puff and it doesn’t look like as much as a puff as the rest do. How do I fix that? It’s like that for all three rows where I began the puff. Any tips would be appreciated!

Hey Jess, I'm hoping you see this. I used this video to contact you because it's your most recent and I'm not on any other SM sites. I just have one question hopefully it's not too hard to answer. Keep in mind I'm fairly advanced but I've never crocheted a hexagon and I really want to crochet a hexagon sweater but I was wondering how hard it would be to change the stitch. Is there a simple "formula"? For instance when you look at stitch tutorials it always gives the repeat. You know, multiples of__ plus__. Thank you in advance.
