Hi great video, i replaed the sway bar links and the lower control arm ball joints. But car still make clunk noise when going over bump. Can it be the upper control arm joint ball making the noise ?
@momo5757
@momo5757 12 күн бұрын
Thanks Bro, it can be the upper control arm because sometimes you don’t see the grease came out from the rubber and still make the noise because it has internal damage already, or it can be the front strut mounting too. If you don’t hit your car in a curb or go over a pothole most like it it will be the upper control arm.

@@RobD1 With the stabilizer bar bushings, if you see them worn or have lost their original shape, they must be replaced or with a pry bar you can try to make pressure between the bar and see if there is excessive movement. In the case of the upper control arm, you have to disconnect only the ball joint from the knuckle, after is separated you can check if it moves up and down, it is damaged, is it move in circles is good.

The front airbag cover is designed to peel/break away properly to allow the airbag to deploy correctly. The aftermarket solution wraps a piece a leather around it. I doubt it will work properly in the event of a deployment.
@momo5757
@momo5757 2 ай бұрын
It is a very good observation, I will put it at 50/50 possibility, you are right that is covered by synthetic leather, but the material is very thin and the bag explodes in milli seconds at a speed of 200 miles per hour, I doubt that a synthetic piece of leather can stop it, the cover already has predefined cut lines where the air bag will come out but you can find these types of modifications in AUDI, BMW, MERCEDES, TESLA, etc... when making this type of modifications you do it with your own consent and risk, the same thing happens when you install MOMO steering wheels and RECARO seats that do not have air bags and so on among many accessories that no longer have these safety standards.
@sgtjyf01
@sgtjyf01 2 ай бұрын
@@momo5757 Airbags are designed to deploy in a very controlled manner - Both in terms of speed and direction. If these variables are off in any way, the airbag might not be able to catch the head in the frontal impact and the noggin might slip off and hit the dashboard. Part of the leather covering might even fly off during the deployment and hit the face. Personally, I think aftermarket leather covering on the airbags are just a very very bad idea.

I hope in the future I don’t have any accidents or inconvenient, but so far everything good. If you want to save $ KYB is Good, OEM strut they just charge you more because they stamp the logo. Twin Stanz is a really good but all those products are made to lower your car, so when you lower your car, make more pressure to the strut and it feels even more stiffer.
