Some details on the B-side (the animation): Animation resolution: 40 x 50 Colours: 3+1 (original with 16 tones, dithered, raster colouring) Frames: 247 Framerate: 50 fps File size: < 200k (= one C64 floppy disk side, 40 tracks) The three tones are coloured with multiple 256 tone rasters that move with different speed. In addition the animation part uses laced charset + horizontal 4px lace. The B-side loads basicly almost as fast as it can through the demo. Best to watch this with CRT.

Should the demo reset the C64 at the end, like in this video? I'm running it from a floppy (40 tracks transferred from the .d64 with a nibble copier) but it always ends in a red screen after running several minutes. Maybe I should try another disk :)

Red border/screen means that your drive is not keeping up with the loader and it is essentially a bug in the demo, your drive is all right. B-side is 40 tracks, that's correct. I did this capture using a Commodore 1571 disk drive, on which it works 100%. On a drive emulator such as 1541u2 or Ultimate64 this problem does not occur, but of course stock hardware should be supported. Barfly has been doing patches and I have tested them with stock 1541:s and an 1541-II and a working implementation with the loader exists now. That version of the demo is not out yet, but afaik Extend will release a 100% version soonish after some tidying up.
