For basically my whole life, I've lived in the American South, where Weeping Willows are commonplace. I'm delighted to see that Japan has these beautiful trees! Seeing them by the river gave me so much nostalgia of my childhood, and I'm thankful that you shared it with us, Riri! Your travel vlogs are always masterfully curated!
@ririRegineКүн бұрын
They sure are very beautiful trees! I'm glad that it has invoked a sense of nostalgia :) is there a place where you are from where they line the riverbanks like this too?
@ElinaBenadoКүн бұрын
@@ririRegine In the South, Weeping Willows are especially prolific in warm, marshy areas. The states that they grow best in are Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina (my home state), South Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana. You'll be sure to find these trees if you visit any of the Southern states! Although technically not Southern United States, Boston has a park with a large pond surrounded by lots of Weeping Willows. I was born in Massachusetts, so I visit this park every year with my family. It sort of reminds me of the willows by the river in Japan! For maximum Weeping Willow enjoyment, however, I would recommend the states of Georgia and Louisiana. Throughout my childhood, I used to travel there to visit friends, and the trees were such a precious part of the experience! The nostalgia there just hits different!!! This was an insanely long comment, but thank you for asking! 😅

@@ElinaBenado I love your enthusiasm for Weeping Willow trees! I also saw them occasionally as a child in my home state of Wisconsin. Definitely one of my favorite trees.

It’s kinda annoying to see all of those tourists 😂 I’ve been to like half of these temples in the summer and there was NO ONE. I wish I could visit them in autumn but there are too many people 🤣

Right from the start. The music, the chirping of the birds, paired with those bubbling pots + the calm, serene setting and the feast of colours for the eyes. You know, it's going to be another great Riri Travels video. We even got to revisit the area to see the temples in all it's red (maple) glory! The yellow carpet of leaves was simply stunning. I'm sure you got some awesome photos too! Thank you for sharing as always!

Hello Riri Travels. Today, i followed your Shibamata itinerary and I couldn’t be happier. Though I didn’t have time to include exploring the back of the tea house and Kasai Shrine, it was still the best time for me. At Yamamoto Tei was a time well spent. I also finished my trip with a hearty meal at Monzen Toraya. Thank you. I feel productive today. Tomorrow, i’ll do your Yanaka area itinerary. Wish me luck.
