Riri, your videos are exceptional, and very meditative! Thank you for such a unique take on travel vlogging! You have a gift! Please can you tell me where you got your hat, or what brand it is as I am fair skinned and blonde and I love the face coverage and rounded top is more esthetic than a flat topped sunhat. Thank you! Elisa (sorry I’m on my hubby’s account).

The red taxi is called "songthaew", a public minivan system common in Southeast Asia with a different name, from Thailand and its neighbors to Indonesia further south (it's called "angkot" here). Anw, I love your way of exploring. You mix everything in one like I do, from temples, city streets, cafe hopping, to shopping.

Love your content Riri and really appreciate all the details that you add to your vlogs and all the different spots you include. I’m planning a 3 week trip with my young teen boys and have a few questions if you could please answer: 1) Why did you skip Raleigh Beach? I thought it’s one of the go to spots when in Krabi? 2) If I were to decide between Hong Island and 4 Island tour- which one would you recommend? Or should we do both? 3) Would you recommend us visiting Koh Lanta and should we spend a night there or just do a day trip considering my boys would probably get bored ( ages 14 and 12). Would really appreciate it if you could share your recommendations. Thank you
@ririRegine15 сағат бұрын
Thank you! I was supposed to go to Railay beach during the 4 island tour, but apparently it was really busy that day so they gave us the option to re-route to a quieter area. To be honest with you, once you get to 3-4 islands they start to look the same. Hong Island was much bigger and there's 2 areas where you can hike including the 360 platform which was in the video, and there's a beach area to swim and snorkel. If you and your boys like hiking then I would recommend Hong over the 4 islands, the Hong Lagoon was pretty cool too and you can kayak/snorkel there. I don't think you can go wrong with either option, just your preference really. 4 island is quicker to get to. Koh Lanta has quite a backpackers vibe to me, it's not as 'pretty' as the other islands but definitely much slower paced and more chilled out. I just cafe-hopped and did work there so maybe they would be bored. Depends what they like doing! It's a hard question as I don't really know what you like to do on holiday, but I hope my comment helps abit :)

Thank you! I booked a tour online that covers Mount Bromo and the 2 waterfalls, it was supposed to include Ijen but it was closed at the time due to volcanic activity. You can have a look online as there's lots of choice, the ones I see commonly are from Klook. The one I booked was from tourmountbromo.com/, it was the 'Mount Bromo & Tumpak Sewu & Madakaripura Waterfall Tour (3D/2N) - VIP Package' Hope that helps!

This is one of the most beautiful visits to Chiang Mai I have ever seen. We were there a few times starting in 1998 and it is amazing how much it has changed... even the silo (bus/taxi) had new seat covers ! Most everyone misses it, but at Wat Pho, if you look on the wall opposite the reclining Buddha, the entire wall is a mural depicting every day life, though primarily of the ruling class. What I recall was the orgy, sex party, and a man squeezing lactating breast catching the milk in his mouth.
