Many years ago during my visit to friends in Kanazawa, we visited her relatives in Kyoto. Saw the golden shrine. and it's environs. Wonderful. Sadly I didn't see the silver shrine. It was under repair. But I have lovely memories of a special holiday. Blessings and deep respect to the Japanese people.❤❤❤

trust me, you do not want to go to anywhere in japan, especially kyoto, in summer. it gets to 40+ degrees, and most of the stuff you want to do in kyoto, the temples, the walking in the cool streets, just won't work because its so hot and you wanna stay indoors
