Agree I just bought 70-200 for sigma E mount, and you wont have the closest results as an 600 mm objective, event cropping wich gives you 310mm , but it is worth for landscapes and portrait photography, I think this objective is a must in your arsenal though, maybe in the future I would buy a 600 mm

I was wondering if this machine is still worth buying all these years later… the only reason I would want to is if it can play Jedi: Survivor. Is there any way you can test Jedi: Survivor and other modern games to see if this machine is still relevant for current gen games?

Just like me 😊. I'm going to buy a telephoto lens for my canon 80d. But I still have a serious question, is it sharp and low in noise with this set?
@pierrelouismarketing
@pierrelouismarketing 4 ай бұрын
Hello mate, yes this lens is sharp but the Canon 80D is not great in low light. If you plan on using on a tripod for landscape photography it is not an issue you can simply do longer exposure. If you want to shoot portrait I would recommend the f/2.8 version but it is a lot more expensive

Посмотрел твоё видео, купил think tank digital holster 20 v2.0, отличная сумка! Идеально подходит для a7c-ii+20-70mmf4. Если разложить хобот, то можно вниз запихнуть 90мм. Я радуюсь!

I love this lens. I use it a lot with my 90D - a camera body that supposedly "punishes" cheaper lenses, but, I have to say, I've had great results with it. It just seems to produce great photos. TBH I've heard a little focusing noise from it, but, for video, I tend to use Lavalier mics, so it's not a problem.

For years now, I have used a large-ish Mountainsmith fannypack and put my backpack waist strap through the back with the neck strap and wore it in front. It's not ideal. I like this holster arrangement but this morning I bought (before I saw your vid) an X Shaped binocular strap with quick release ($15) harness and a Molle Tactical Utility Pouch (15cmW x 10cmD x 25cm high) for $15. If it works, it'll be a cheap fix. If it''s a failure I'm going this holster route.

Are you using the 24mm fixed lens on a full frame camera? Which fixed lens would you recommend for a Canon APS-C camera to get 24mm equivalent? I use the 24mm as 35mm on my crop camera but want to get wider for street/documentary as also mobile phones are now in the range of 24-26mm and will set that as new standard for peoples perception.

100% agree with getting one big bag, and 1 camera bag up front. Not just for hiking but also for travelling. Using a Think Tank Change Up v2 myself, which fits my DSLR and zoom triplet. plus a water bottle. When I'm travelling, I might just take the camera bag when walking around. Because everything is in front of me, it's good for security as well as accessibility. The only downside that I have noticed, is when I'm doing something like a jungle trekking where I have to use my hands as well as my feet, from time to time. In that case, having a bag in front as well as on my back, does slow me down.

It's okay for the casual photographer when photographing larger wildlife when combined with a crop body and or Tele converter. But 300mm - 400mm for any serious wildlife photography. And 500mm or beyond for small game or birds.

Thanks so much. I got the gen 1 70-200 2.8 IS (I use 5D M2). I tried shooting thrushes from about 35 feet away. Brown birds in brown bushes, low contrast (not good) in daylight. I think the lens is just too short, like u say. I have the f4 non-IS, same thing, too short. I thought the 2.8 IS might improve? No. Thanks for the video I thought there was something wrong with the 2.8.

In my case,this lens is currently my favorite lens overall. This lens is kind of a replacement for the 18-55 because of how versatile it is. 24mm on aps-c is a truly mid-spot where you got a nice wide angle but enough emphasis on single subjetcs. Due to being 24mm, a quite wide lens but just cropped down, isn't that wide anymore, but the "panoramic feeling" stills there unlike a 35mm on full frame, so you can get a wide landscape style shoot just moving backward but due to it's f2.8 along that wide angle which allows certain closeness to objects and people, you can get nice portraits, but also due to it's close focus of 16cm, it is a great pseudo-macro lens, a bit worse than the 18-55 at 55mm, but since 24mm is f2.8 unlike f5.6, you get light or bokeh as you wish. All these things inside the smallest, lightest, cheapest, auto-focus wide angle lens you can put to your canon aps-c.

I’ve shot in the rain for years and I’ve never had a problem. Proper cameras and lenses have great weather sealing. I like the capture clip with a soft shell cover for heavy rain. But otherwise some water spray and light showers are fine.
