I gotta ask: how come Antony Starr returned as Homelander in Call of Duty but NOT Mortal Kombat 1?

That is why professional Voice Actors are amazing. Anthony is still awesome as Homelander, and cool enough to have his face model instead of a different one for MK1. Chris Cox did amazing impersonation of Anthony Starr. Now, if only Megan’s face model can be kept but have the voice actress for MK11 Skarlet do Nitara’s voice. She’ll obviously should depart the comparison from MK11 Skarlet voice, but still have that energy for Nitara’s vampirism nature.

If i had a nickle for everytime their was a guest charecter that was in both Call of Duty and Mortal Kombat I'd have one quarter.

MK's Homelander sucks. He's more Johnny Cage in vocal performance than Antony Starr.

I am surprised by the fact that he looks better in COD. Sure, the lighting is terrible, but the design is much closer to the real thing. His face too. In MK1 he doesn't even look like Anthony Starr. Chris Cox's voice acting doesn't sound terrible to me, but I feel like he was directed poorly, whispering all the time and with a raspy voice. A real shame, as he is much better utilized in MK1 than in COD.

Difference seems like -Anthony star came in to just collect another pay check. -Chris Cox came in and put in hard work and his soul into it.

Antony Starr is the most important part missing from Mk1 Homelander. The graphics and all from Mk1 Homelander are great, just dont have Antony. I am happy with Chris tho too, he actually does it good with the voice

The MK version of him is technically superior, more details, better lighting and shadows ... and yet the CoD version looks better !!! How NRS? It makes me think all the M1K characters kinda look the same. His smile in mk looks like Johnny Cage's or any other character's smile, whereas his ratty smile is very well done in CoD.

I think Chris is just the better option because Anthony kinda sucks as a voice actor sometimes being a good on screen actor doesn't mean you're going to be a good voice actor. Rather have a good voice actor that doesn't sound exactly the same than having the actual actor reading his lines in the most robotic and life less way

I'll give Chris Cox credit for doing his best to put in as much effort sounding like Anthony Starr as he could. Even if sometimes you could still hear his Johnny Cage voice a bit at times.

Shame we live in the dark timeline where Antony voiced another useless fuckin cod skin instead of mk1 where you actually play as homelander using his powers instead of the homelander who got his powers replaced by a gun

Chris’s only bad line is “take your best shot frosty” but everything else is pretty good

Mortal Kombat is much better at guest characters than Call of Duty. In COD, they're just glorified skins with no life or personality; whereas in MK, the developers go out of their way to capture all the details and nuances that make these characters popular to begin with.
