Mortal Kombat 1 is a fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games. It will be the twelfth main installment in the Mortal Kombat series, serving as both a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11 (2019) and the series' second reboot, following Mortal Kombat (2011). The game is set to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S on September 19, 2023.
Mortal Kombat 1 has been confirmed to feature a story mode, online multiplayer with rollback netcode, and offline gameplay. The game will introduce a feature called Kameo Fighters, which will provide assistance to the player during fights. These characters will be separate from the main roster, and chosen before each fight. Additionally, the Air Kombat combo system which was featured in both Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and the action spin-off Shaolin Monks returns, and is being refined for this game.
As of the game's announcement date, it has been revealed to feature reimagined versions of characters such as Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena and Kenshi. Shang Tsung will be offered as a pre-order bonus. Six additional characters and five kameo fighters are planned for post-launch release via the "Kombat Pack" downloadable content, which also includes a skin for Johnny Cage featuring the likeness of Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Kameo Fighters are a unique roster of partner characters to assist during matches, creating expanded gameplay possibilities for players. These characters are chosen separately from the main roster of fighters.
Some characters can serve as both kameo fighters and main roster fighters. Guest characters can even serve as kameo fighters.
Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 14, 2023 for those who have ordered the game's Kollector's Edition and Premium Edition, while purchasers of the Standard Edition will be able to access the game on September 19, 2023 .

really good lines with Ghostface implying he killed Debbie and the other where Nolan said he prefers books - in Invincible he wrote sci-fi novels under his civilian secret identity, and the books play a significant role in the story.

So he writes books while pretending to be a normal guy on earth... Huh...kind of odd; considering he comes from a more technologically advanced world, and season 1 shows that he more or less has a disdain for humanity, you would think that he'd find books to be too _primitive_ for him.

@GanonGhidorah there's a reason he write the books. SPOILERS for season 2: . . . . . He wrote the books as a way to preserve his secret identity of a writer. That's the official story. The books actually contain hints on how to defeat viltrumites. They're sci-fi books with hidden messages detailing real ways you can off his people. The books didnt sell well and he switched to travel books to make money. Why did he expose his people's weaknesses? Nobody really knows. Some believe he just used them as background for sci-fi books and that's all. I personally believe he was already struggling with his faith in the mission and wrote the books just in case. If you pay attention, every word he tells Mark while beating him can be seen as him trying to convince HIMSELF of the validity of his mission. His faith was shaken the moment he realized humans were not insignificant like he thought, and every kill when he turned on earth was a way to try and radicalize himself once again.
