Daily exercise is key to as healthy life. Ride a bicycle to school, work or for fun. Riding a bicycle is a great way to exercise. Ebikes are bringing many older adults back to cycling. Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles. Safe protected bike lanes and trails are needed so adults and children can ride safely. Speak up for bicycles in your community. Bicycles make life and cities better. Ask your local transportation planner and elected officials to support more protected bike lanes and trails. Children should be riding a bicycle to school and not be driven in a minivan. Be healthier and happier. Ride a bicycle regularly. Make a bicycle your transportation option for short distance travel.

I can't afford an Urban Arrow right now, so I rely on my e-bike to carry a lot of stuff, like groceries. I would love a review of LARGE size bike paniers: budget, value and top tier picks. Thank you, love your videos.

Can’t wait to watch your channel grow and see all the great content you talked about!! I love biking, hoping to get better at keeping my bike up and running on my own. Started by purchasing “the big blue bike repair book” by Park Tool. Need to spend my money on more bike adventures vs. the bike shop. Truth be told, I do love my bike shop😊

I want quality gear, but I want it at a price. A lot of bicycling assumes I, the consumer, have thousands of dollars to pour out on gear, I don't. Most of the potential US market doesn't. If bicycling is to grow to the next level, I am the demographic they will need to appeal to. I would really like a good new helmet designed for riding my e-bike. I have a big male head, which is a size range often ignored or underserved. I might like a few lights, but I would want to avoid complicated electronics which are expensive, a chore for me to sort out and then break. Also, most helmets I have seen close to this description seem to opt to be remarkably ugly.
@BikeShopGirl18 сағат бұрын
What is a reasonable price you would pay for helmets and lights?
@hemaccabe429218 сағат бұрын
@ I was talking about a helmet with lights installed. However, I am honored by your question. I would love the helmet to be under $50. I could imagine spending up to $150, but that would sting and I wouldn’t do it unless I really liked the helmet. As for lights, I would like my ebike to have standard hookups so I could choose from a wide variety of lights.

On a more serious note, I have often found that when designers and manufacturers in many product categories start paying attention to their too long ignored female consumers, the innovations they create are useful for everyone. I also think reviewing these products is an underserved niche. Thank-you.

Bike Shop Girl, one big problem in the bike industry are the very overpriced bikes. Rad Power Bikes for example have realistic prices, but have to be upgraded in many cases. Let's say, Rad a little bit better, but still not overpriced, would be a good way to go. 5, 6, 7, 8, 10...grand for a cargobike is way overpriced. It's only a motor, a battery, a frame and some parts. If you buy components only, you pay less. How can that be? Manufacturers get normally good OEM prices. Complete cargobikes are usually overpriced. The same is with many other bikes. They make the prices higher than the normal calculation would be. You need the market and the people that can pay and afford these extremely overpriced bikes. The other aspect is, that there millions of used bikes and that all in all not many people are daily bike riders. Reasons: Too lazy, too hard, the weather, no bike lanes - excuses over excuses. If you want to ride a bicycle, you can do it on a used one for cheap. To leave a bicycle in your garage after some rides, a cheap one is good enough. And for really riding, there are plenty of other used bikes.

I’m enjoying your videos. Planning to use my e-bike this year. Sadly there’s no bike riding infrastructure here. Regarding locking up the bike, I’ve got a LiteLock X1 on the way. None of the nearby stores have bike racks. Can one lock their bike to parking signs that are placed in front of the stores entrances? Just mounted up a Knog Scout, by the way.

i love your channel. I'd love to see a cargo bike shootout between the Tern Orox and Surly BFD, Yuba Kombi/Mundo/SpicyCurry, Letrigo Minivan, R&M Multicharger/Load60, Madsen, Xtracycle RFA/Swoop and Cannondale Cargowagen. I want something to long-distance bikepack with, but also ride daily for things like groceries in a hilly area. Hauling a trailer is also likely. I need a do-it-all bike that can be a car replacement. Pricing and space prevents me from having multiple bikes, so a good all-rounder. I'm over 50 and 5'8". I'm kind of leaning toward a Yuba Kombi with aftermarket motor and a suspension fork mod. I prefer the low step-over and lighter weight.

the trouble with alot of shopfront bicycle stores is they price themselves out of the market not many folk can buy 10 k plus bikes,then shops have another problem,not enough spares on hand,having all the little bits and pieces will get folk into a bike shop,while there they may even buy a new bike,another big problem,try taking an ebike into the shop to get something fixed,it wont happen,the shops want all the cream by just selling big ticket items,alot of mechanics in bike shops need alot more training,also ebikes are growing rapidly and bicycle stores just did not adapt,any shop can inovate and find new ways to make it work,also bicycle shops are now competing with the online market,most folk would prefer to go into a shop front store but try getting decent parts from one,i am sure there are good stores out there but not in my area,those big ticket carbon fibre bikes that not many can afford,start selling decent ebikes and carry all the parts for them,fix anyones ebike regardless whether they bought it from you or not,put the bikes aside bike shops could also sell spokes and build new wheels,dont neglect the spare part or hardly anyone will turn up

I guess its me!

Spot on. I can work on my own bike so I don't need a local shop, but my friends and family cannot work on their own bike so the local shop is very valuable. I love the idea of a family bike event national tour to promote biking. My suggestion would be to do this in conjunction with a large cycling event like the Life Time Grand Prix or pick some large race events and hold it the day before or after the event.

Price $ Of course, I buy used bikes and work on them myself. I can't imagine paying sticker price for what I see in the shops. I like the comment of the person who has a shop and only does service, not sales.

First of all there is one God no KZbin Gods but that’s not your fualt❤. Second of all you just need an influencer who’s cool with the respective values and ethics of the Catholic Church and the military to advocate or represent the MTB community. If this is done it will grow in abundance and thrive without hurting anyone in the process . To God be the glory

Do you really think that this is going to change? Nope. Sorry, but I believe you are wrong about the necessity of local bike shops. You must have said it three times. I can order a bike for less and have it delivered to my door. The bike that I want. Most online bike stores even teach you how to measure yourself for their particular bike brand/model. About all I need is a professionally trained bike mechanic for those rare times when something happens that I can't fix myself. We don't NEED a local bike shop where someone is going to treat us like garbage and who won't quit looking at their "idiot" phone because they keep getting notifications on their Instagram account.
