How does it pull?
@RadFox132022 күн бұрын
@@a7xogg it pulls great. It rips off the line. Just a very tiny throttle press on the highway and without a downshift you instantly accelerate.

FYI if your cylinder has gas in it from a presumed failed fuel injector, take the fuel pump fuse out or else it will erupt out of the spark plug hole

What you described is exactly what my mk7 gti is doing. So I took it to the dealer for the recall. It's still doing it?? After the dealer did the suction pump recall... I still only pump about .5 gallons and it gets full and spits out

@RadFox1320 how did the helicoil hold up after all this time? Any grounding issues with s.s. coil to the aluminum valve cover? I just found out i have similar issue with one of the coils. I have been also looking into the Time Sert insert thinking either would work.

I recommend removing the charcoal canister and flipping it upside down to remove all the excess gas from the suction pump failing. I was ready to fill up the day of when i did that

Fkn legendry video, thankyou!! Explains EVERYTHING, and like you I've fought loss of rear Haldex on tuned cars at the rear end without luck. Endless reports of bevel box issues across the various Haldex car forums, and all sorts of urban myths and special voodoo involved. Just had my new, low km bevel box start making weird pinging/binding noises on the highway, and it seems a lack of oil despite zero leaks was the issue, I had no idea in the MK6 era it stopped sharing oil with the gearbox, so didn't go looking for a level to check. Drained out 150mL or so when it should be 850mL. I reckon my bevel gear has slipped due to heat and friction, so have yet another box to fit, and to keep an eye on. After your GREAT diagnosis, I'll rebuild my old box and keep it as a spare, cause no doubt it will play up down the line. At least it's a relatively easy fit in place, just axles off and a bit of engine rocking. Oh yeah and fit a hose to the breather port so you can refill it much easier in future, I'm adding this to the DSG fluid replacement schedule, and ensure you get the uber special VW fluid too!

There is a Fuel Tank Suction Jet Pump Limited Warranty Extension program - though VW declined to reimburse me. They're claiming the root cause was the rollover valve. I've got a 2017 GTI that was leaking gas from behind the right rear fender.

Yeah thanks for this video. I had the same issue. At first I thought that some a**hole opened up my gas port and put something in there clogging it. Lol So checked online and saw this video. I then check all the recalls and saw that my 2017 golf sportwagon had an extended warranty coverage for the Fuel Tank suction Jet pump. Glad I found the extended warranty notice.

I am having similar issues with my 2016 MK7 Golf R as well. I took it to the dealer today and they informed me that the Charcoal Canister and Evap Valve need replaced. They wanted $1800 to do it, so I'll be doing those two items myself for $600. I'll reply back if it fixes my fuel filling issues. The part being discussed in this thread does NOT appear to be part of the Golf R fuel tank though, from the information I have received.

You need to change your oil more often. 10k oil changes are not great for long term. I change mine every 5k and did a compression test on my car after 9 years and got 185-190 psi on every cylinder. I have about 90k mils on my car. I'm stage 1 for about 40k and about 10k-15k running stage 3. I only used mobile 1 0-40 as my car recommends.

I have a 2020, and I work in a VW dealer. So I ran the part number and it comes up in the catalog for an Audi A2. It’s also not in the diagram, it’s listed as an associated part… the part number for the tank that it goes into is the same base number as the tank in my car. I’m going to open up my tank this weekend and see if the valve is the same. I actually have one on the shelf in my shop.
