I would suggest starting with the yolk mixture. 10 minutes is a long time for egg whites to stay stiff - or am I the only one to have a problem?

Have worked out that when applying with a large brush let partly and add another coat of pastry and it works better.

I just made it yesterday and it was so good!! My whole family said it's the best cake they ever had, the texture was so fluffy :) felt like eating a cloud ☁️

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I tried making a cake from scratch for the first time using this recipe and everyone was in awe at how fluffy moist and airy the sponge cake was. Truly a delight and we will be making it again for the holidays. THIS IS NOT GLUTEN FREE!!! Flour, soya sauce, curry powder and maybe more things in this video have gluten! You have to specify to people to buy special versions of that products, because lot of people maybe don't know about soya sauce and curry powder having always gluten in their natural form. 😢

And the curry powder always have gluten too, sunless is specified gluten free. The same for soya sauce, must be different one.

I haven’t had April’s cake for two years since I went gluten free, finally I made this , it was delicious, I will adjust the sugar level next time I’m making it as it’s slightly too sweet for me

Itried the recipe. But when mixing the yolks. With flour. my maternal uncle. Of gluten. The mixture clumps in the end. The recipe did not work

Hi. i made this recioe chocolate version. Replaced cornstarch with cocoa powder. The cake rose very well and all. Baked 40 minutes. But it sunk down while cooking down. So I put in upside down. Then it was very crumbly I couldnt take it I used a spatula and took it. Somehow I finished it. It was good
