That's not what oil that's contaminated with coolant looks like.. Used oil is brown. My used oil is extra brown because it's already dark when it's new.

Hey, thanks for bringing up the flashing light issue. I bought my bike with the light already flashing, and it's been really distracting, especially at night. I'm considering removing it because it's annoying. Did it just fix itself?
@Redrider2k22 ай бұрын
It still does it once in a while. Totally random. I've just learned to live with it 😆
@AhriCRose2 ай бұрын
@@Redrider2k2Mine keeps flashing constantly :( I did a little research and it seems that it could be because the speed limit setting is too low. If you go over the set speed, it'll flash. Maybe yours is set to a higher speed, which is why it's not flashing as often.

Is there a way to make short in order to lower
@Redrider2k22 ай бұрын
Usually.. but I've never bothered with anything like that. You can also raise the forks in the triples to achieve the same thing. You just won't be able to go far before they hit the handle bars and of course it'll change the suspension geometry a bit.

If you need to turn or maneuver the bars quickly for example in tight traffic or city riding you might not want it fully tight because it slows down how fast the bars react to input.
@Redrider2k26 ай бұрын
I'm talking about THIS damper on these bikes in particular.. Trust me, you don't want it anywhere but fully tight. It's common practice for people to take them apart and modify them to make them even stiffer.

Everything was replaced on the valve that dropped. Valve, Spring Seat, Spring, Guide, Retainers and Collets/Keepers. The rest got new retainers and reassembled.

I remember watching your first vid about the retainers and the valve dropping, I also switched the retainers on my gen 1 for gen 3 retainers, disturbing to learn what happened to yours again! It's such a weird thing, I can only imagine there are hundreds of bikes out there running fine with broken retainer fragments under the tappets, and actual issues arising from it seem pretty rare, still you don't want that nagging feeling that something could go wrong AGAIN!
@Redrider2k27 ай бұрын
It's something that really causes you to worry because there's no sign that there's any problem until all of a sudden there's a HUGE problem. Then there's all of the ones that I didn't change this time.. Who's to say they didn't crack the very next day? Needless to say, this bike is going to be running a VERY short valve inspection schedule
