Hey Damion, how could you add another signal chain on the fly to your existing signal chain for the guitar? Do you have to plug into the XLR combo or is it possible to use an effect loop? Just thinking if it's possible to route my bands mate keys thru the TMP while still using the XLR for mic/voice. Thanks for your awesome videos!

Hey dude Greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴 Thx for sharing all that great value information about TMP. I’m learning to play guitar, I own a TMP and I’m really really happy with that beast! It’s easy to use, the most beginner friendly unit (I compared it to Helix and Boss modelers before purchasing) and the sound quality is superb. I hope you can give some discount code for your latest course about TMP, I know your knowledge worth the price but my Colombian peso is devalued compared to USD 😅

Wow. It’s that simple? Just play a riff with the TMP looper and tone stack at will? I’ve been trying to figure this out.
@damionandy4 күн бұрын
It’s that simple! You just need to make sure you select “pre” by pressing and holding one of the buttons on the TMP (can’t remember atm and I’m away from my studio). I gotta keep it simple. If it’s complicated, it gets in the way of my creative process. Glad you found value from this week’s tone master Tuesday video!

Can you do a lesson on using the looper on the TMP. It’s kinda confusing to me. How do I delete the whole loop and start over? Sometimes I’ll play over the loop and it will record that. I’ve looked at the manual but not to helpful. Love your vids Andy!

@davidfite19785 күн бұрын
I think you buried the lead... most people probably came here to hear what you need to record with the TMP.... a guitar, laptop, tmp, usb cable, and a daw... right? When you start talking synthesizer/midi/etc... that's another video for a specific subset of musicians...
@damionandy5 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! You’re absolutely right-keeping it simple with just the essentials like a guitar, laptop, TMP, USB cable, and DAW is enough to get started, and I should’ve made that clearer upfront. My goal was to highlight how you can expand your setup over time if you want to explore more production options, but I can see how that might come across as a bit much for someone just starting out. I appreciate you pointing this out, and I’ll definitely keep it in mind for future videos. Maybe a follow-up video focused solely on the absolute basics would help cover that ground better. Thanks again for watching and for your input-it means a lot!

You didn’t really address what you need to do with the TMP to record though ………
@damionandy5 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment! That’s a great point-I realize I could have gone deeper into the actual steps of using the Tone Master Pro to record. I focused more on the gear and tools around the TMP in this video, but you’re right, a more detailed walkthrough on what to do with the TMP itself would be super helpful. I’ll plan to create a follow-up video that focuses specifically on the recording process with the TMP-everything from setup to getting tones into your DAW. Thanks for the suggestion, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts!

I've been using Fender gear for a long time, and I've been able to get what I want out of it, but I've also been into ADA rack gear too. So, here is the question I have for you; can you do "captures" with the Tone Master Pro?
@damionandy5 күн бұрын
No, you cannot capture with the Tone Master Pro. The only modeler that allows that is a NeuralDSP QuadCortex. However, I think that’s kinda a one trick pony. If you understand amps and signal chain, you can really do anything with the TMP. If by captures, you mean impulse responses (capture of a specific mic & cab combo) - you can use your own IRs. Hope this helps! If you decide to get the unit and want to do a deep dive on sound design while maximizing the device, you should checkout my latest course!
@harleyhexxe98065 күн бұрын
@@damionandy I sort of guessed that the TMP can't do captures, and I was thinking more along the lines of capturing amp tones like the Axefx or Kemperer. I understand amps and their signal chains all too well, and what I was aiming for was to try to capture some of my ADA preamp tones, i.e. MP-1, MP-1 Classic, MP-2, etc. More than likely, if I do get one of these, I'll probably just create amp tones from scratch as I did with my ADA gear and my Cyber-Amps, and then just add whatever effects I might need afterwards. I find factory presets to usually have too much of everything and need serious editing to get them to a more realistic level. (Fender has always been reverb-heavy with all of their modeling amps). Thanks for the reply though, and if I do decide to get one, I'll check out some of your info. It does look a lot less cumbersome to get into than some of the other machines on the market, and if Fender keeps updating the amp tones in it, it might be worth the price tag.

Totally agree with everything you said, Damion! Your pitch is spot on. As a musician myself (hobbyist), I think the opportunity to create content in 2025 is more exciting than ever. The tools and platforms available make it so much easier to reach a global audience and connect with others who share the same passion for guitar and music in general. While I personally don’t want to create content myself, I can definitely see the value in it-whether it’s through tutorials, inspiration, or gear reviews, like for the Fender TMP ;-) . This video really nails why now is the perfect time for guitarists, and musicians, to get creative and share their journey. Sharing is the key. Great insight! ... and congrats for all the job done! I wish you a successful year 2025 with a lot of subscribers and followers. Cheers from across the pond! Chris.

Hi Chris, Thank you so much for your thoughtful words and support-it truly means a lot to me! I couldn’t agree more; the tools we have at our fingertips today are game-changers for musicians. Even as a hobbyist, you get it-the potential for creativity, connection, and inspiration is incredible. I love how you mentioned sharing as the key-that’s exactly what it’s all about. Whether someone’s making content or simply engaging with it, every interaction strengthens our community and keeps the music alive. I’m also glad you caught the nod to the Fender TMP-it’s such a versatile piece of gear and a big part of my journey lately. Thanks for the encouragement and kind wishes for 2025! Wishing you a fantastic year as well, full of great music and moments. Cheers to staying inspired and keeping the passion alive! Best, Damion

Hey bud🙂just a wee question about the TMP if you could help me out.... Just wondering how you connect your TMP to your pa when you play with your band? When I take the mic lead from the back of the unit to the desk,the level of gain is extremely high. To the point where I have to almost turn the gain on my desk all the way off. Is that normal or am I doin something wrong? And if I have to have the gain all the way down,won't that affect the level of my monitor mix too? Best regards and great work🤟
@damionandy12 күн бұрын
Every system I've plugged into is different. The last PA system I plugged into, I had a similar experience. I had to yank my output volume down to 15-20% to ensure I wasn't destroying everyone's hearing. It doesn't affect your tone. But.. You can go into your I/O signal and change the XLR output from "Line" to "instrument" and that'll drop your gain a lot. You can change the preset volume. Or you can change. your master out (what I did in my experience recently). All are valid options to try Let me know if this helps! Dialing it in takes a little experimentation, but once it’s set, the TMP works beautifully with PA systems. 🤘

@damionandy12 күн бұрын
I don't know what you need for rocksmith. If Rocksmith just needs a clean DI, then I probably wouldn't use. the TMP because the effects can change how it is analyzing the signal.

Clean tone into Rocksmith, but using your own TMP tones for playing along with Rocksmith. People do it with real amps. So there is probably a way to do it with the TMP.

The Tone Master Pro is the only modeler, to my knowledge, that shows bass players love. My course isn't created specifically for bass; however, if you want to learn how EQ, signal pathing, pedals, and more work in general, it serves that purpose. I market it towards Tone Master Pro users, but it's really a "Music Production for Guitarists" course, but the fundamentals apply to any instrument.
