I haven’t been this blown away by gear since the OG line 6 pod. My head is still spinning how incredible this sounds. The presets are great ,at least better then any I’ve ever heard on any multi pedal I especially love Jimi summer 68 I’m playing mine through a Headrush frfr Go which I bought to use with my Boss me-90. Previously I was playing through my spark amps then I read about frfr speakers. So I bought the HR, sounded better but the high gain stuff still wasn’t great. Then about a week ago I saw the 4years interest free deal going. They had one of these left, so I had to grab it. I live in an apartment and this thing sounds awesome at tv volume. It definitely can get very loud. You’d need the bigger one for band volume. But for couch jamming to KZbin jam tracks it’s great. Anyways, Bach to the TMP, this thing kills the me-90. I feel bad, I’ve been a loyal Boss man for years. I’ve got my top 3 still in the loop though, just couldn’t let go. Terra echo, chorus CE-2 which stay on. Lastly my number 1 the blues driver. 1500 bucks spreads out to 31 bucks a month for four years. I just turned 55, I don’t have to time to wait around for great tone.

Sounds like the TMP has completely transformed your rig-love hearing stories like this! It’s such a beast of a unit, especially for getting incredible tones at apartment-friendly volumes. And I get it-once you’ve experienced what the TMP can do, it’s hard to look back. Boss makes some great pedals, though, so keeping a few in the loop is a solid move (that Blues Driver is a classic!). If you’re looking to unlock even more of what the TMP can do, I’ve created a course specifically designed to help players like you. It’s called the Tone Master Pro Mastery Course, and it’s all about simplifying the learning curve and helping you craft tones that truly inspire. Check it out here: bit.ly/3ZGaatr. Would love to have you join and see how it takes your tone to the next level! 🎸🔥

Man, thanks for the advice about removing the amp if you’re running it through an amp. I was playing it through my EVH 5150 stealth in and it was OK, but it just wasn’t right!
@damionandy19 күн бұрын
Glad that advice helped! Running the TMP through a power amp like the 5150 Stealth can sound amazing, but yeah, leaving the amp model in can muddy things up since you’re effectively stacking preamps. Removing the amp block lets the tone breathe and makes better use of the Stealth’s natural characteristics. Once you’ve got that dialed in, it should sound killer! Let me know how it’s feeling now that you’ve made the adjustment. And if you’re looking to explore more ways to fine-tune your rig, my Tone Master Pro Mastery Course covers tips like this in detail. You can check it out here: bit.ly/3ZGaatr. Happy playing, and enjoy that Stealth-powered tone!

I suck at dialing in tone. Part of the problem is how I have the attention span of a fruit fly. Therefore I am grateful for your instruction, suggestions, and experience. I’m also grateful for your presets which sound GREAT. Looking forward to your TMP course. One issue I have is my tones sound good in one room and suck in a different room. I lack the skill to dial in. Hopefully I’ll learn how to get it done. I’m counting on you!!! THANKS, Kevin.

Hey Kevin, Thank you so much for your kind words-they really mean a lot to me! I totally understand how dialing in tones can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to different rooms throwing things off. Trust me, we’ve all been there, and the fact that you’re willing to learn and grow says a lot about your dedication. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the presets-it’s awesome to know they’re helping you find some inspiration! As for the TMP course, I’ve made sure to include practical strategies to tackle exactly what you’re describing-how to adjust your tones for different spaces. My goal is to make this process as simple and approachable as possible so you can feel confident in any setting. You’ve got this, Kevin. I’m here to help every step of the way, and I can’t wait to see how your tone evolves. Thank you for trusting me with your journey-it means the world. Let’s get it done together! 🎸💪

Hey bud🙂just a wee question about the TMP if you could help me out.... Just wondering how you connect your TMP to your pa when you play with your band? When I take the mic lead from the back of the unit to the desk,the level of gain is extremely high. To the point where I have to almost turn the gain on my desk all the way off. Is that normal or am I doin something wrong? And if I have to have the gain all the way down,won't that affect the level of my monitor mix too? Best regards and great work🤟

Every system I've plugged into is different. The last PA system I plugged into, I had a similar experience. I had to yank my output volume down to 15-20% to ensure I wasn't destroying everyone's hearing. It doesn't affect your tone. But.. You can go into your I/O signal and change the XLR output from "Line" to "instrument" and that'll drop your gain a lot. You can change the preset volume. Or you can change. your master out (what I did in my experience recently). All are valid options to try Let me know if this helps! Dialing it in takes a little experimentation, but once it’s set, the TMP works beautifully with PA systems. 🤘

I just bought the TMP tonight based on a zillion videos I’ve been watching on modelers, including yours. Thanks for all the info! Got a question though: I’m planning on splitting the outputs. Out 1 XLRs will have a cab sim for FOH, while Out 2 will be going straight to the FX Return of a small EL84 tube combo (only using the combo’s power tubes and speaker) for onstage use. I’ve just always liked the squishy feel and chime of EL84’s. I’ll try to duplicate what I’m hearing onstage with a closely-matching cab IR for Out 1. I plan to use 1 or 2 amp heads on the TMP that give me the amp tone I need. Any suggestions for this setup?
@damionandy19 күн бұрын
That’s an excellent setup you’ve got planned! Running a split output like that is a smart way to get the best of both worlds: a cab-sim tone for FOH and the natural feel of your EL84 combo on stage. For your setup, here are a couple of suggestions: 1. Amp Models: If you’re chasing that “squishy feel” and chime, I’d start with the Vox-inspired amp models in the TMP. The AC30 or similar models should pair beautifully with your EL84 power stage. For a second amp, you could try something warmer, like a Fender-style amp, to add depth and versatility. 2. IR Matching: When dialing in your IR for FOH, find a cab sim with a similar voicing to your onstage combo. If your combo has a Celestion Blue or Greenback, look for an IR with the same speaker type for a cohesive sound. 3. Output Tweaks: You’ll want to spend time balancing the levels and EQ between your onstage combo and the FOH signal. The TMP makes this easy with its output block routing and EQ options. If you’re looking for more detailed guidance on setups like this, my Tone Master Pro Mastery Course dives into things like split signal paths, IR selection, and amp/cab matching. You can check it out here: bit.ly/3ZGaatr. Let me know how it works out! Your rig sounds like it’s going to be a tone machine.

Great Stuff Andy. Much appreciated! Most of us know what you mean, but just to clarify for those who don't - High Cut is actually expressed in kilohertz (kHz). Still Hertz, but a real lot of them.

@damionandy29 күн бұрын
First, double-check if you’re on the latest firmware for the Tone Master Pro, as updates can sometimes fix these kinds of bugs. If everything is updated and the star icon still isn’t appearing, it might be worth checking the user manual or resetting the unit to default settings (don’t worry-your presets can be backed up first). If you’re still having trouble, feel free to let me know, and I’ll do my best to help you figure it out! You’ve got this! 🎸
