I’m a Newy supporter but Penrith are so impressive. There’s a lot of thought behind their defence, Cleary is a master at this. SJ from the Warriors was talking about a play in this game where they got Tedesco to be in a play on one side of the field so Cleary could surprise them with a kick on tackle 2 and To’o to finish it and Teddy had no chance of getting there. It’s such smart and fast footy the opponents seem to be always on the back foot. I think there’s no way it’s going to be anyone but Panthers vs Storm this year and It’s gonna be a shit hot game!

All top 4 teams this year have won a Premiership or more from 2010-present day. Sharks have only won it once in the history of the club, and that was in 2016 with 3 previous Grand Final appearances but way back in the 1970’s-1980’s but failing to come up with the result in all 3 GF’s. The 2000’s, especially after 2010 its been a 3 team dominance with Panthers, Storm and the Roosters being 1 of the 2 teams if not 2 of the 3 facing eachother in a Grand Final but historically in the mid to late 2000’s have always been Panthers, Storm or the Roosters Vs another team in the GF.obviously panthers have been the overwhelming dominant team making it to 4 GF’s in a row with there first GF appearance before the 3peat, they lost to none other than the Melbourne Storm. All 3 teams have also gone back to back in the 2000’s but only the panthers have gotten a 3peat potentially a 4th this year. Its crazy bro

I think the roosters getting smacked so hard by panthers week one of the finals lite a fire in them and told them this is the pace and the intensity you need to be at So if they play with that intensity they just played they are a good chance of beating storm

I think the panthers have an easy win against sharks But storm and roosters game is going to be a grand final before the grand final So I think who ever wins roosters or storm they probably struggle to back it up against Penrith So they are best set up to win trophy number 4

Nigel is awesome. Top level rugby mics the refs so viewers can hear the commentary, which makes the refereeing more transparent and to my mind more enjoyable. Referees are awarded more respect than other sports, with limited talking back, questioning of calls. Players are better behaved as a result. I don’t understand why more sports don’t move to the refereeing model that rugby uses.

It doesn't show up as much on the highlights but Penrith destroyed them up the middle in the forward battle. They were so much more ruthless and aggressive in their tackling first contact. As an example Dom Young has only been kept under running 100 metres twice this year and both were against Penrith. Mitch Kenny in particular just loves to smash the wingers and centres on play one and two. You slow down the play the ball play one and two and you control the rest of the set in defence and that wins field position.

Not a fan of either but that try was probably one of the best tires my dad and I have ever seen

I was of n understanding if u back into the line and go below spot contact it is on you as the ball runner not the defenders 0.007 of a second to change their action.. comitted to tackle below chest and hits in the head isnt a head high tackle... What has these refs done to the game.. turn your back to the line and duck expect to get wolloped just my input...
