Please give us an update on how the Monoferric I.V. infusion worked for you. I just had the Monoferric infusion today and I'm very hopeful I'll get my energy back and my brain fog goes away. Thank you in advance and I hope all is well with you 😊

Hello! Has your iron stayed up since this 2023 treatment, or will you need to go again this year?
@SunnyInSecond4 ай бұрын
@@morningjane hi there! Well I started feeling like my numbers were low so I went back to my hematologist and I went from 14 back to 7 again over the course of a year. I did have a second treatment about a month ago and I’m back at 10 and it should continue to rise. They’re concerned I may have some slow internal bleeding so I’m scheduled for a colonoscopy and endoscopy to see if they can find anything.

This video was very helpful thank you! Just had my Monoferric infusion yesterday (first infusion ever) and it went smoothly! Any update on your progress? I read on a comment that you had a setback? ☹️ were you taking iron supplements at all after the infusion?

Hey! How did it go? I just had another big dip in my numbers so im not sure if its the mono ferric not having long term success, some lingering effects from my blood loss during surgery, or something else. I sure hope your infusion went well and you’re feeling better soon!😊

Did you get Benadryl with the other iron IVs? How have things gone the last few months? I would really appreciate any info about symptoms and timing… my mom’s hematologist is recommending this. She’s been getting IV iron for 27 years now.

I’m actually feeling so much better! Thanks for asking ❤ during my knee replacement, I lost a bit of blood and needed another infusion in the hospital, so I’m not exactly sure what the brand was for that. Overall though, I’m walking so much better just two weeks after surgery and I feel great!

Thanks for this video… it was very helpful.. my iron level is 7 as well..I can’t wait to feel more energy! 🙂
@SunnyInSecond Жыл бұрын
Apparently 7 is pretty alarming and will definitely present with some symptoms. Now a couple of months later and I feel a lot better. The ice munching and craving icy drinks seems to have stuck around but it is the height of summer in south Florida, so it could just be that. Have you had infusions yet?
@MessiJessi3 Жыл бұрын
Great video! Thanks 🙂. Aha!! So now I know why I was “addicted” to chomping on ice and icy drinks! I thought I was going through a spell of severe dehydration or not getting enough fluids. It must be from the anemia. SO glad you mentioned having that ‘symptom’. I’ll be starting MonoFerric next week and your cheerful video is the first I was drawn to. It sounds as though most people tolerate the infusion(s) just fine. One sad thing for me with anemia is meanies calling me lazy or unmotivated when really it’s harsh and awful fatigue from chronically low iron/anemia 😔. Hoping the infusions help! Thank you for sharing your experience. The Benadryl will probably have me zonked out too 😴 🤤 . 🦋Happy weekend! And upcoming 4th of July 🎆.
@SunnyInSecond Жыл бұрын
Hey there! Don’t let the meanies get you down! That fatigue is real. It’s been a few months and and I’m felling great, iron wise. I recently had my knee surgery and lost a considerable amount of blood so in the hospital I had to have 2 iron infusions, but still doing great otherwise. How did your Mono Ferric infusion go?

What pisses me off is why are we all getting punished for the faults of the incompetent government?? Just like covid...why the hell are people currently getting evicted from their homes because they couldn't pay rent through covid?? It was the government who shut down people's place of business and refused to let them work, it wasn't the business owners who shut their own doors! Ya'll should refuse to pay that amount for the same portion size as the kids. They are literally robbing you and could careless! It's time that the people start pushing back and stop just accepting being treated unfairly. As long as we keep accepting this nonsense, they will keep doing more and more and it will just keep getting worse and worse.

When I did my student teaching, they had sweet tea for the teachers in the back of the kitchen (that we were actually allowed to go through to get it). For my first teaching years, we'd have desserts with lunch and nice breakfasts like biscuits and gravy. My favorite dessert was spice cake. I feel bad for these kids now. I wish they still got a dessert. I have thought it was always unfair that the portions were the same for a 3 year old as a 15 year old. Just give the kids what they will eat. We also have high cost lunch for teachers. More motivation to me not to be lazy and just prepare myself something healthy.

Yes, spice cake! I found a channel where a former lunch lady makes recipes from her cafeteria days. Maybe I’ll try the cake and make a video. That might be fun!

"the lack of a reward isn't a consequence". This. My school is full on on positive reinforcement, which is ok, but I have noticed that our students don't correct their behavior out of positive comments to others that are doing the right thing (or if they do, it's just to obtain that compliment, sticker, whatever and that's it). I'm thinking of implementing a behavior chart for the first time because all the other positive behavior systems are not working (I don't want to focus solely on the negative though). But if I have parents over rewarding children for having basic manners ("you get a new videogame if you get 3 behavior stickers at school"), then we need to be clearer on what consequences are

Teaching is definitely not a profession for the faint of heart. As tough as they are, most military members, just like any other group of people, would not return after one day. The most undervalued US profession 💯.

One day I was thinking of a video I watched at the beginning of the pandemic about this guy who showed how to do “tapping” on your body. It has a name and I couldn’t remember it. I had to take over my stepfather's medical decisions because my mother just became incapable. It was really stressful and the doctor's wanted him to be taken off the ventilator and die. I just wanted them to give him a chance. It became a fight with them but he wasn't doing well so we had to say goodbye (which was awful because he was totally sharp in his mind but his lungs just couldn't go on). I don't compartmentalize well so it was hard to function for a long time. It can be a sad stage of life to be in, these mid-life years.
@SunnyInSecond2 жыл бұрын
Wow, our stories sound very similar. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I had plenty of fights with the hospital too, so I know exactly what that’s like. You’re fighting so hard to save someone you love and the people in charge seem like they couldn’t care less. I think I have some form of PTSD from all of that. I hope things are getting better each day!
