My school is full on on positive reinforcement, which is ok, but I have noticed that our students don't correct their behavior out of positive comments to others that are doing the right thing (or if they do, it's just to obtain that compliment, sticker, whatever and that's it). I'm thinking of implementing a behavior chart for the first time because all the other positive behavior systems are not working (I don't want to focus solely on the negative though). But if I have parents over rewarding children for having basic manners ("you get a new videogame if you get 3 behavior stickers at school"), then we need to be clearer on what consequences are
