Lol this comment lost me... But I am seeing some of those drywall Pimples! I just finished building in Dec (drywall has been hung for 10 months, My contractors were awful) and I saw these bumps appearing in a line a few inches down from my ceiling. Bet that's what might have happened! Thanks guys 🎉

🤣🤣 everyone hanging know you'd just use the one pole against the timber to hold it, using two makes it too slow and precise, on rooms longer than 5m I use a board mate and the one too

They work great unless they get just a little dirt in them, then they stink. Hard to keep clean around a new house build

Good video. Just as an observation: it would’ve helped to have a closer view of the work you were doing. Things like seeing the mud come through the holes, how the bead twists as you adjust it, and even the build up a you are coat in the bead are all things that a learner would appreciate. Good, simple instruction, though 👍🏾

The Stanley’s suck. Worst tape ever feels cheap and won’t last long. But Irwin or lufkin best tapes on the market.

Those power locks are garbage kid. If I see on my jobsite with that tape measure you’re fired! Stanley fat Max’s are the best. Milwaukee wide blades the blade breaks easily, dewalt tapes they don’t have the satisfaction of the fat max when the tape goes in and out.

The fat max was king for years until I recently tried the Irwin straight line,

Straight line is the same thing as dewalt atomic minus the easy read fractions
@kd9937
@kd9937 Ай бұрын
@@AmericanFry it definitely is not, the atomic has a smaller hook and the straight line blade it stronger plus has numbers on both sides If a tape has fractions on it that just slows me down Also Irwin claims the straight line survives an 80 foot drop if your worried about that or believe that
@AmericanFry
@AmericanFry Ай бұрын
@@kd9937 no they are literally the same tape measure, they are made In the same factory with the same internal springs and hooks, the only difference is the Irwin has the tiniest difference in shape on the back of the shell and the blades are made exactly the same the Irwin just has print on the bottom, same materials and construction same durability same steel and plastic and both are owned by Stanley black and decker. Also I’ve seen it personally on job sites every single tape measure dropped from above the height of a 3-4 story building will bust be it Milwaukee Stanley dewalt Irwin or lufkin when facing concrete
@kd9937
@kd9937 Ай бұрын
@@AmericanFry unless the atomic came out with a new version I can tell you they are not The atomic is cheap junk,no where near comparable to a Fat max or a Straight line I have all 3 in my work van right now and the difference in all 3 is clear I understand all 3 companies are owned by Stanley Black and Decker but each tape measure is different The atomic is even marked as a compact tape the straight line and the fat max are not they even weight more than the atomic

Honestly, tape measures are a consumable item, and most tape measures are good enough to choose from. I've used the $2 pittsburgh tape measure, I've used the Milwaukee tape measures, which are good quality, but I agree a good ole Stanley 16"-30" are a go to.

I used Stanley Fat max for years and I would go through like 3 a year so I tried a Milwaukee wide blade and they've been lasting me about a year and my local home depot will let me return it and grab another one no questions asked or receipt needed when I have a problem with it like it won't retract or it rips or the numbers wear off

If you’re a happy homeowner just tape by hand, banjo is not the preferred tool, a Bazooka is. And a bazooka takes time to master but will outperform a banjo 10fold
