Avoid This Rookie Bathtub Drain Mistake‼️
There is a proper way to install a bathtub or shower drain, but sometimes you gotta take that extra step and assure that you don’t have a plumbing drain leak. Fixing plumbing leaks can sometimes be easier than you think and just taking that extra but if time to do leak tests will save you big time if your replacing or fixing a bathtub. The other rookie mistake is that you ran PEX piping to the tub spout. You should run copper or anything that has a larger inside diameter than the pex pipe. What will happen is there will be more back pressure because the pipe is too small and this will cause the shower head to trickle when filling the bathtub. You better fix it now, not after the tile is finished.

Yeah I’ve been considering replacing that Pex to the spout with 3/4 pex I used for the main trunk lines in the house or 1/2 copper. Thanks bud!
