You can do it either way, but if you do the anchor peg you’ll just want to remove the slip knot from that peg after a five or so rows and pull the end of the yarn to tight the knot.

I just found out that there is different gauges with loom. Where did you get your loom and what gauge is it? I know what gauge you have determines what suze yarn to use.

You can use acrylic or cotton, as long as it's the same weight yarn it should work! 😊

I think it might turn out too big if you use that size yarn- if you click the link in the video description you can see the free pattern on my site and there is an adult large that is bigger and should work. 😊

As a newbie, this is the best lesson I've seen so far. My problem is not being able to hold the yarn properly, my hand gets so sore, I get so tense in my neck. Where is your yarn ball sitting while you crochet?
@izabellagrace974 күн бұрын
This is the absolute best tutorial I’ve ever watched. Super easy to follow and I learned so much. Thank you!!! Normally crocheted bandanas slide off my head bc they’re slightly too small so I made mine slightly bigger (20 initial rows) and made the strings shorter (30 instead of 61) and it came out absolutely perfect

I am a 64 year old grandma. This might be something I might can do to supplement my income and maybe include my grandson somewhat in the process. Great tutorial! My daughter is 34 and on full disability and knits quite a bit. Knitting frankly scares me but this looks very doable. I have helped her sew a crocheted blanket together and finish off the ends and add buttons on peices. Fun stuff!❤

@@kirbycat I just received mine for Xmas. Addi 46 pin. I was a bit apprehensive about it but gave it a try. I am 73 years old but I do crochet but I love the look of knit. I think you should try it. When you have videos like these to watch you will do fine. You will make mistakes in the beginning but try again. I love mine.

@@bonniebunting6415 I just might do that Bonnie. I have tried to get a job doing other things but I fell my age has made them pass me over. I have to help alot with the grandson so this might just be the ticket. Thanks.❤️

Do you recommend pre washing the yarn before you make your blanket? I have a pattern using red and white and it tells me to wash my yarn. I have never heard that before.

Using size 5 yarn and 36 pegs, I’d add a few extra rows. With the original pattern this hat turns out like a kids size.
