Many happy memories of 'The Two Ronnies' through the 70s. Bless you Ronnie, a real gent !

Thank you so much for posting all these musical numbers. The scriptwriters and Messr's Corbett and Barker are comic geniuses par excellence. I haven't seen any of these before but they all have me in stitches.

I haven't seen this since 1980. Thank you. Now to show it to my millennial friends.

One of The Two Ronnie's best sketches. A brilliant parody of Star Wars.

I remember watching this as a fourteen year old and thinking the production values were pretty good for the BBC. The Top Of The Pops sketch was even better regarding costume design as I recall.

2:55 That was one of the geniuses of the Two Ronnies. They take a famous song (Frequently Knit Knack Paddywhack) and they change the lyrics.

The final song is to the tune of "Silver Heels", if anyone's wondering.

like the idea of the Duluks (a parody of the brand name Dulux and the Daleks from Dr Who ) and how they said "Redecorate" instead of "Exterminate".

I suspect it's what happens when you turn the sheet music upside down.
@MaskedMan667 жыл бұрын
It is; they couldn't get the rights to John Williams's music, so they got something with a similar tune.

It is Born Free.
@MobiusBandwidth4 жыл бұрын
John Williams wrote Born Free, and then literally turned it upside down, actually, backwards, to write Star Wars, an old composer's trick.

@bylokonnor I do that all the time when it comes to the two ronnie's.
