This would make a lovely blanket also. Scrap yarn or not, solid color, several colors or whatever your imagination can come up with. Thank you for this interesting pattern and showing us how to make a lovely scarf while using up our scrap yarn! 💕💕💕

Hi! I juuuuuust organized my totes (4) of yarn. I gathered up all my scraps and filled a plastic grocery bag full. Usually i make a blanket, but i am loving this idea. Thank you!! I also made sweaters with this stitch..

This is such a pretty pattern and a great way to use up scraps of which I have many. Going to make this and I think I would also like to make a hat to go with it. Will need to figure that out but shall focus on the scarf for now. Thank you.

I love this stitch and would even love to use in a blanket... Could you please tell me what the "multiple" is in order to make it wide enough to make a blanket ... I came up with a multiple of 3 chains plus 2 chains ... but not sure that is correct as I am new to this. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated

Multiple of 3 + 2 (You had it right!)

How many balls of yarn do you need to make this one ?? Thank you for sharing

This is how much the pattern says: 9.1 oz or 473 yds of Red Heart Super Saver, (Weight: 4/medium - 364 yds, 7 oz, 198 g). So if you are using the same yarn then it is about a skein and a half.

I would also like to ask if this particular stitch has a NAME... it is very similar to the Suzette stitch... but I would say more like a double of that stitch... a Suzette is one single stitch and one double in one stitch and then just skip one stitch... was just was not sure if this one has a formal name or what.. Thank you in advance

I once called it a modified Sedge Stitch because the sedge stitch is (SC, HDC, DC) but some people have been telling me it is called the blanket stitch. I just don't know where to confirm that name. Old pattern books just call stitches: Texture Stitch 5, over time people have just given the stitches names and some have become used enough that we know the name.
