Looking to have my IUD removed this coming year, I’ve got a diva cup and am wondering if It would be ok to make my own pads without the water resistant fabric on the backside? Like a pantie liner can I use just flannel and cotton (trying to use what I’ve got on hand basically.) 😅 Thanks in advance hopefully you are still active because this is still the best how to I’ve seen on how to make your own pads without
@billettescrafts20 күн бұрын
Of course! It will work for pantyliners. For spotting and sweat but anything heavier you risk it going through. Hope it goes well

Great tutorial. I have to make one for a customer. How much did you add to width and length to allow for seam allowances and for the top stitching so the planner will easily fit into the pockets and close properly? My customer's planner measurements are 8.5" x 10.5"

I bought 50 thin washcloths for 25 bucks. I use them for urine only. I have a squirt bottle on the floor, squirt and wipe. Since I rinsed, I throw the cloth in the hamper. I buy toilet paper for #2. Now I only use one roll of toilet paper a week.

I appreciate this video! We had a presentation from some missionaries to Kenya tonight at church. They said one of the most requested items recently are feminine products for the women. I want to learn to make these to donate to them and include in the age-appropriate *Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child* gift boxes at Christmas! Thank you for passing on your knowledge! I actually have a brand-new Baby Lock sewing machine that I hope to learn how to use from some talented ladies at church…I pray God helps me out on that one! 🙏✝️🎄🥰

I can’t wait to get started sewing these! They are so much better for the environment and less expensive in the long run! Thank you for showing, step by step, how to make these! What’s the best way to clean the used pads? Do you put them in water to soak, then wash the whole group in the washer once your cycle ends?

Thanks for this great video- I am going to line my panties to catch bladder leaks (I'm over 65 so when I sneeze or cough, that happens sometimes!) I ordered Zorb fabric which is supposed to be the most absorbent padding available- we shall see. THis is SO much more economical than buying the very expensive incontinence panties and I can use my most comfy panties for them. I have a couple of small suggestions that might be helpful: 1. To avoid having to sew on the edge of the absorbent pad, you can cut a larger seam allowance, then trim it off after sewing it together. ALso, to avoid any bunching of the curvy part of the pad when you turn it inside out, you can cut out some notches in the curve before turning it to help it lay flat.
@livinginthenow4 ай бұрын
I was looking at the Zorb fabric just today. Have you used it yet? What do you think of it? Does it live up to the hype?

Hello! I just found your channel and I am so excited that I did! Quick question about the bag. Why didn't you sew the waterproof fabric to the pretty fabric? I feel like I would get annoyed that the pul could twist or move around. Was it for a specific reason?? Thanks! 😊

Very helpful! I've been designing incontinence pads. I want the pads to separate from the panties because, yes, urine is more fluid@@than blood. Your design doesn't do that, but it certainly helped me visualize. Pretty sure I'll have to use fine velcro at four corners. Thank you so much.
