It’s crazy because this morning I said to myself I should make wet bags to sell with my pads. And then about an hour later you uploaded this. And the only reason I even became a cloth pad maker was because your shop was closed to purchase from. so I said this must be the universe telling me to make them. And I followed you pad tutorial. And now will be following your wet bag tutorial. I’m very grateful for you thank you so much for posting your tutorials.

Your welcome dear! Good luck with making pads. My only advice even though you didn’t ask for it 😂 is to beware of custom orders. They can burn you out quick because it takes away from your creative flow. It’s okay to make what you want to make, when you want to make it and your customers will still buy from you. Choose beautiful fabrics 👏
@BraidsbyAshleyA4 жыл бұрын
@@billettescrafts when you say “custom” orders. How custom does it get in the cloth pad world? I don’t really have anything custom I can do right now. Other than sizing.

All of your tutorials are fantastic! As a new sewer (I just started this month!) I am so thankful for your videos! I can’t wait to make all of these re-usables! This wet bag made me think: what if you made a larger version (like, 5x the size) to use as a reusable “garbage” bag to keep in your car? For road trips! Just so it’s not sitting on the floor or on the seats. :) Could also use this same concept to make cases for reusable utensils/straws. Ok, enough rambling...you’ve inspired me!!!

Great video! I was planning to make some for my Etsy shop (StitchesAndGrace). I’m thinking I may do just a pretty PUL tho and not another layer. Thank you for uploading this tutorial, it came just in time😀

Your welcome! I’ve done one with just the pretty PUL layer and I did not like the way it looked. To me, the edges felt unfinished and I wanted to pick my own fabrics to use 👏

I can't wait till my fabric comes so I can start making these and pads for Operation Christmas child /myself
@alldaymusiclover107 Жыл бұрын
Hi! I know it was 2 years ago but how did it go? I was approached, by a small group member, to make some pads and pouches for our Operation Christmas Child project this year. This is my first time doing this and I think Billette's videos are excellent. I made a couple of samples using flannel for my topper, batting for the core and PUL for the waterproof backer fabric. I also added 2 layers of t-shirt cotton fabric because (in my searching) another video showed it this way. I would definitely appreciate any comments, tips or suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Hello! I just found your channel and I am so excited that I did! Quick question about the bag. Why didn't you sew the waterproof fabric to the pretty fabric? I feel like I would get annoyed that the pul could twist or move around. Was it for a specific reason?? Thanks! 😊

The waterproof fabric is really hard for me to feed through the machine. It's a little easier on the serger. When you sewed the zipper in, did you use a zipper foot? I couldn't tell, but it didn't look like you did.
@billettescrafts Жыл бұрын
No I didn’t use a zipper foot. Just go slow and don’t get frustrated. The PUL can be tricky but stay patient😁
