I was purging all my subscriptions about 3 nights ago from channels that haven’t uploaded anything in more than 1yr. Some channels hadn’t done anything in 4/5yrs. Anyways, I really like your work so decided to make your channel the exception 😊. Your Salvador Dali melting chess board is pure art. I’m glad to see something from you. Hope this isn’t an invasive or intrusive question but is the 3.5 fingers a reason as to why you haven’t uploaded any shop/woodworking projects? I almost sliced the top of my thumb off about 3yrs ago on the bandsaw. It was literally hanging by the skin. It took me about 2yrs to just even go in my shop 😢. I started on a small project a few weeks back so it’s was really great to just make that first cut 🥹 Nevertheless, glad you’re okay 😊

@@NirvanaWoodWorksbyJanie actually alll my videos were done after I got cut ,that's why the gloves and the hours of editing out my hand 😁. When people think you're doing "how to " videos it doesn't seem right to show the one time you were unsafe and messed up,that's why I tried to specify the videos were for entertainment purposes. I got discouraged having 41000 subscribers and only getting 150 views and I wanted to do smaller projects but the way "trolls" were i couldn't edit out my hand ....now I don't really care what negativity people say . Thank you for watching and commenting . So you used the spray adhesive! Have you had good luck with it in the past and any particular brand of glue to use?
@sdmcustoms5 ай бұрын
I've only tried this twice , regular wood glue left ripples in the veneer so for me it didn't work,so I'd say any good contact adhesive is my go to

I found that my smallest router is too big for this job. There's probably a way round it by building a jig, but I decided to buy a cheap palm router, as your method is so much easier and I already have the frame made. 😀

Thanks for the video! Is there any chance you’d take on this exact job (but only the door part) for local customers? Same story, bought a taller fridge, needed my cabinet doors shortened 5 inches to 12”. My contractor said he couldn't shorten the existing doors and built new ones instead, but the new wood pattern resembles a zebra (and my existing cabinets do not). I don’t have the skills or tools to follow these steps (and would potentially ruin my doors). I’m in MD and could drive to you. Thanks for your time!

Why not just cut a rectangle piece of whatever size you need to come down to. Reconnect them, glue it, sand and refinish or paint.
@sdmcustoms10 ай бұрын
Because it still has to match the rest of the kitchen,this way requires minimal refinishing so it's the best match the other cabinets in the kitchen
@reesriddoch533210 ай бұрын
First of all that is amazing. Secondly do you have plans for this? What kind of wood did you use? How tall was the height of the sides?
