Pakistan had already introduced neutral umpires during the 1986-87 series Vs the West Indies the year before - which was drawn 1-1. The TCCB and the old cricket establishment was against neutral umpires. So don't misrepresent facts. English umpires had been pretty awful during the 1982 and 1987 series, especially David Constable. England owed at least 1 test victory to English umpires in 1982, and 1 escape from a loss in 1987. The umpiring in the 1987-88 series was a direct response of the awful umpiring in the 1982 and 1987 series.. Plus TCCB argued against neutral umpires that Pakistan had introduced the year before in 1986-87 during their 1-1 draw Vs the West Indies. While England were being hammered in the 1980s by Pakistan, India and West Indies, Pakistan beat both India and England on their soil. And Pakistan drew all their test series Vs the West Indies even in the West Indies. Plus English batsmen had the beejuses scared out of them by the West Indies fast bowlers and Imran Khan and Wasim Akram. Plus heroes like Roly Poly Ian Botham was bounced out 4 times in the 1987 series by 20 year old Wasim Akram as given a Yorker on the toe that made him dance around like a one legged circus act. England were a frustrated and losing side with their heroes shown to be all flab and no muscle, all bluster and no courage. They expected to win with bias in their favour. When it went against t then for a change they all started crying.

Dennis Lillee was a great bowler but not as great as Imran Khan, who single-handedly carried the burden of Pakistani bowling for many years.

A great fast bowler who although lost his pace after he sustained stress factures in the back could still ball fast at the start of an innings and occasionally ball an express delivery. He will be remembered as caught Marsh bowled Lillee a countless times as we think of this legend. He was humble too, to have asked the Queen for an autograph during his introduction in England by the then captain Ian Chappell.

For starters, it's "Lillee" and not "Lillay". Secondly, he used an ALUMINIUM bat and NOT an aluminum bat. This is Australia and NOT America. Thirdly, you can shove your "How he lives is sad" and your "Wasted Career" comments where the Sun don't shine. Go pollute some other chan with your clickbait shit.

What sh1te , Lillee had nothing to do with developing the aluminum bat he was sponsored to use it. The bat was banned in top level cricket because it would damage the ball.
