Pakistan had already introduced neutral umpires during the 1986-87 series Vs the West Indies the year before - which was drawn 1-1. A great fast bowler who although lost his pace after he sustained stress factures in the back could still ball fast at the start of an innings and occasionally ball an express delivery. He will be remembered as caught Marsh bowled Lillee a countless times as we think of this legend. He was humble too, to have asked the Queen for an autograph during his introduction in England by the then captain Ian Chappell.
