Hello , You are making amazing videos I noticed your KZbin channel and you're doing great! I have seen all your videos and your content qualities are excellent but still it is not delivering the right audience due to SEO problems. Focusing on your SEO to get a big fanbase would be best. I have some ideas on how to boost your audience and engagement. Would you like to talk about it for a while? Let's talk and I'll share my strategies with you.

Chicago land Devoted Medicare Advantage HMO 2025 is going from dental coverage of $7500 plus vision of $400 to a total of $1000 for both , and for that you have to file a claim and imagine calling and chasing after your claim for some hours., OTC is $0 now from $65 a quarter , food $65/month is $66 for those who qualify . out of pocket has increased too and some other increases, me and all my family are dropping out , will check Humana , Blue cross , non have their 2025 cost/ change out . but I think they will not change like Devoted . Devoted changing from the top rank down to the last, ( they wanted to get the market share in the area and now they are showing true color )

The first page of plans that UHC made non commissionable appears to be for plans sold after 10/1 are made non commissionable for the rest of 2024. Its worded so that it may not affect plans that go into effect 1/1/2025. Those appear further down the document. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Wait to you see what Devoted has in store (Core Plan Ohio) for 2025---it won't be great. Most copays are going up. OTC bucks---gone--Food cards gone---Dental Provider--gone ($1000 allowance). And that is the tip of the iceberg.

I absolutely educate on both sides - completely….. more people choose Supplements in my world. Please do an episode on the costs of Cancer treatment under MAPD!
@laceylbuckingham
@laceylbuckingham 11 күн бұрын
It’s covered very well- if the person is on the right plan. I wrote my dad on a $99 advantage plan in Minnesota. He hit his moop in March last year doing chemo. So he paid $2900 out of pocket and was covered 100% for the remainder of the year which included all radiation, ambulance rides, er and specialty visits, imaging-everything! His part d was much better than a standalone so he paid very little there as well. And he got to treat at arguably the best hospital in the world- Mayo Clinic. There is no “best” choice for everyone. It’s unique to each person. But an MAPD always has a moop and that is the worst case scenario so you just plan accordingly.
@agentboostmarketing
@agentboostmarketing 11 күн бұрын
Do you think they are high? Cancer has been a fairly common scare tactic for supp only agents. We have many if mapd clients that cover cancer treatments great. We should do a billing breakdown on actual costs. For example, most agents drastically overestimate how much chemo copayments are.
@laceylbuckingham
@laceylbuckingham 10 күн бұрын
I educate clients on the difference and break things down financially for clients to help them decide. Supplements in Minnesota are very expensive. We don’t have A-J plans but have similar equivalents. Assuming a client turned 65 prior to 1/1/2020, a supplement cover (nearly) everything that Medicare doesn’t is about $275/month. (We are community rated here.) Add a drug plan at the national average of $34.70, (because if someone is planning for a big health crisis like cancer, a $.50 Pdp probably doesn’t have a robust enough formulary), they are spending over $3700/year in premium… whether they use services or not. Compare that to an advantage plan with a $2900 MOOP that is only $66/month (a popular one in my area), the premium is $792 annually. If you max it out, total spending MOOP plus premium IF YOU MAX IT OUT is $3692. And you had dental, vision, hearing, OTC, etc included. If you don’t max it out, you just saved $1000s. If you do, it’s a wash to what you would have spent on a Supp. At this point, it just comes down to clients preference on using a network, having extra benefits and what pdps are available- since they usually get a stronger RX benefit in an MAPD. You really have to run their RX through software on both sides and let them choose what is affordable to them and how they prefer to receive coverage. (And if they spend their winters in FL, TX, AZ etc… these are snowbirds and it’s an added layer of consideration.) Many people can’t afford $300/month in premiums. Also, medical bills can be negotiated but premiums cannot. So if someone does max out an MAPD, or even a High deductible Supp, they may not pay that full amount. Know your local provider’s financial assistance programs and encourage them to discuss financial hardship with the billing office. My point being, there is no right answer. They are covered either way, it’s just how they are covered. Both sides have pros and cons. Educate them and let them make a choice knowing BOTH OPTIONS. It’s not your job to make the choice for them and you are doing them a disservice to not give them both options. And to Mike or Dan’s point on another podcast, then if they call later and have questions about why they are on the plan they are on, you can remind them “ you have copays because a supplement was too expensive” or “ you have an expensive premium because you didn’t want copays”.

WellCare is dead to me. This is something that you just do NOT do. Future commission is one thing, and that's bad enough, but renewals???? No way. All trust is gone. They need to be sued, and CMS needs to step in, do the right thing, and make sure these companies can't be doing this in the future. If you offer plans, then you must pay the CMS rate. Period. End of story. Adjust accordingly. I've taken enough "on the chin" in this industry, and i am DONE taking it. This decision was absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. The lawsuit should also focus on being forced to do labor for no money. They aren't paying us, and we still have to service our clients and are still legally liable when helping them. And CMS mandates that we can't charge a fee. I also wouldn't want to charge them a fee. This needs to stop and it needs to stop now.

Sir never in the history of ma or pdp has it been that if you offer a plan it has to commissionable. There have always been plans that weren’t commissionable and UHC just released a whole bunch of ma that aren’t commissionable. It’s really rough but I don’t think there is legal recourse.
@truthteller4442

Responding to your survey question: if Wellcare came back and offered renewals would I forgive them? Probably not, but I would be more inclined to leave my current clients with Wellcare and not look for opportunities to move them this AEP. I am waiting to see the final plans and compensation across the board before deciding if we are going to display non-commissioned plans in quotes for 2025. New agents may not remember, but there was a time back in 2015 when all our ACA commissions were eliminated on Marketplace plans. I still kept offering plans through the non-commissioned years and by 2017 PMPM commissions were back better than before. I think you are correct, the market will work all this out. I get why Wellcare is attempting this, but hopefully the backlash from brokers will create a deterrent for other carriers thinking about doing the same thing. I am counting on the experiment producing the same result as the ACA commission stop of 2015 and carriers will remember how important brokers are to their success.

Instead of being mad as hell too, your response is, don't be too mad at our "carrier parters" if you voice your concerns, they may get mad and do-away with brokers. They are doing that anyway! How about our "FMO partners" need contracts in place that will not allow carriers to steal our renewals!

I’ve written more med supp this year than previously in the Chicago area. It’s correlated to anti-MA poorly written hit pieces, IMO. But Chicago is slower to embrace MA, but I think it’s starting to shift. Even buy-in residential facilities, understand that their residents who have money, don’t necessarily want to spend it. It’s really a lack of funding to the Medicare program by the government. The why is really hard to figure out why. Hard to explain to seniors how we can find money for so many programs and foreign wars and aid, but not enough to fund the Medicare program properly so plans don’t have to exit or cut benefits. Inflation and cost of doing business is the other side of the coin. I think the gov on both sides of aisle wants to be seen as reigning in out of control costs on healthcare spending. Just not sure this was the right move.
