When you were describing what you are doing for your gut health, it occurred to me that a parasite cleanse may also help. What you are doing is good against parasites but a cleanse may compliment what you are doing for more health benefits. I use garlic and a tincture of black walnut hull and wormwood. For the last 11 months, I have been working to bring my WIP count from 23 to 5! (Please do not include me in the drawing as I already have a fantastic Sandy bag!)

Great advice! I need to find these things. I just drove by a local health food store and never noticed it was there before. I should stop in and see what they have. I've noticed that you've been posting some old WIP finishes recently. Kudos to you!

Good to see you Beth and I’m glad you are making progress with your health. My husband makes yogurt from a gallon of milk every Saturday. You don’t need a yogurt maker. You just need to get the milk to a certain temperature (I forget exactly what, 180° I think, can ask hubby the details if you want), pours it into 2 half gallon jars, cools it down in the sink filled with cooler water to a certain temp, adds starter (he uses yogurt from the last batch), then keeps it in a warm place for 5 hours. He uses a small cooler that can hold 2 half gallon jars, adds warm water around the jars (he uses a candy thermometer to be precise with all the temperatures). We strain the whey out to make it like Greek yogurt, so we end up with 2 quarts. The whole process is done in 1 day. The yogurt maker would be less hands on time, but if you’re interested I’ll get all the details and email them to you. About wips… I have lots, mostly hibernating and I don’t want to count them. Realistically, 2 or 3 get regular attention at a time.

Thanks for the yogurt info. I already bought the yogurt maker. It's really easy with this handy little appliance. I love the fact that you don't want to count all of your languishing WIPs. That seems like a healthy attitude.

@ Yes! But, I also think that wips are projects that I like working at, the ufos I for some reason don’t enjoy.

I have 4 WIPs; 3 of them are socks. I don’t really have anything “hibernating” right now, but I have two frogged projects patiently waiting for me to start over. I usually have one main project that I’m working on, plus a small portable project to take in the car and an additional mindless project if my main project requires a lot of focus.

I haven’t shared this much but I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July and am currently going through chemo. I should feel good in the spring so I hope you do too and maybe we can have that meet up I didn’t get to go to last year. Would love to meet you! Love all your sweaters! I can only do one at a time. Thanks for the info about gut health. I, too, struggle with that issue and also am lactose intolerant. I make a 24 hour yogurt in my Instant Pot, that supposedly makes it almost lactose free. I also take Culturelle for Abdominal Support and Comfort daily which has helped. I will be watching the videos as you suggest. I have 2 active WIPs and 2 that are in hibernation. But, I also have about 4 other categories of items I make for donation that I really don’t count as WIPs, but I actively work on all the time. Seeing you on my iPad last night put a big smile on my face. 😁 I hope your nose bruise is healing. I am having gauge issues and probably need to frog 9” of knitting and start over. 😭 Pattern is for 19/4”, my pre-blocked gauge was 20/4” and I figured that would be fine. It was starting to look really big so I stopped to take some measurements. The total width of my top is off by 4” before blocking (and it’s superwash, so I know it will only get bigger.) My gauge is now 18-19 stitches over 4” everywhere I checked. My sanity is in danger. 😂

Alpaca is very soft but can also be a bit prickly if the guard hairs aren’t removed. It is more drapey than wool and doesn’t have the springiness of wool, so will stretch. I think alpacas have cuter faces than llamas. I’m not sure which is on that bag. I think you will probably be happier with that sweater if you tone down or remove the waist shaping. The rest of the sweater seems to me to have more positive ease than what would work for a tailored look.

I haven't experienced prickly alpaca. I'll have to be careful about ordering it online. Thanks for the advice.
