When did you download these? I fixed them about 1.5 weeks ago. Redownload the package. There was one file accidentally missing which prevented the suits and helmets from working. But if they're still not working with new download, please let me know. They SHOULD work now.

Thanks man. Check my playlist. I've done 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1998 and 2005 and 2007 (which both I made track skins for). I made leaderboards for every season. It's so much work man. Maybe I eventually do 2000. 2012 was very interesting year too (with Kimi in Lotus, sensational driving, etc.) 2000 could be relatively easy to do as the 1998 tracks are there and available. Cheers.

​ @lucassonic6550 It definitely works. Over 1200 downloads for the championship files and many people play it.

Open championship.champ file with Notepad and set PLAYER to Senna. Then move Prost to the ai grid. Very simple.

Yes I would think so. I haven't checked the updates yet. However, the data.acd from each car probably should be taken from the old package if you want to keep the pitstops. Not sure though. I have to check out what the update does.

@goldemyt7396 Yes. Plus the Ferrari 1987 mod which fills the remaining grid spots. This is the only 1987 F1 mod we have in the Assetto Corsa community. But the championship has all driver skills set up carefully so there's a significant difference between say, Piquet/Mansell and lower end teams.

Yes unfortunately. There are no free 1994 cars. But these are pretty decent.

Yes. Thanks. You're correct. Santander wasn't sponsoring until 2007, either and I think Fosters wasn't there anymore in 2007. I designed these skins for both of my 2005 and 2007 seasons so there are a few compromises and I call them "generic 05-07 skins" because of that. It would have been so huge job to start creating 100% accurate skins for every track for both years. I only did 2007 specific skins for Silverstone. We didn't have ANY decent skins for this era so this is pretty much the first huge effort. Maybe one day I will do both 2005 and 2007 seasons. It's still much better than playing with those idiotic modern ads (that most people show in their videos hehe). Thanks a lot for your comment and enjoy. PS: Tobacco ads were still there in 2007. See Monaco footage for example. But that was the last year.

Yes. Biggest thanks go to great looking car skins author and Shi's amazing 1998 tracks.

They could never make a commerical product like this anymore period. EA owns the rights to F1 and they release that same half assed (but very beautiful) F1 game every year. I think there would be many sponsor conflicts and all that (as the 1998 sponsors shown in the tracks were completely different). Plus this is for niche audience. I doubt it would attract a lot of buyers. That's why AC and its modes is such an unique product. Only sky is the limit. We can make anything, add anything to these seasons. Only skills and imagination are the limiting factors. Cheers.

@@detonator2112 And crazy that people are paying big money for that EA game when you can have AC and 100 times better F1 mods for FREE. Like the 2007 and 2005 seasons you made. I mean 100 times better and not even exaggerating lol-

@SimRacer-d1f Thanks. I think F1 2020 was the best EA game. After that it has been downhill. I didn't even get the 2024 version. They are very beautiful games but they should put a little more effort to the FFB and driving physics.

@@detonator2112 They are total ripoffs. And you can't even buy the best one (2020 as you mentioned) on the Steam anymore. Why? Are they aware that it would make the newer versions look silly? I'm done with them and only play these AC seasons now. 100 times better.

The author is charging for the other Phoenix track so I can't share it because it's a commercial product. The other one is free but it's not quite as polished. Download the roster version for the free track.

Hi. Go to Content Manager settings and search for the "name". These seasons are set for Raikkonen and that name you should have in the Content Manager settings. If you want to play with some other driver you have to edit the championship.champ. You can easily do that with Notepad. Just add Raikkonen to the grid and rate him accordingly. Cheers. That's because you probably have a Spa /extension folder from the other year versions of the track. That extension folder overrides skins folder and the wrong textures are there. The skins are correctly made. It's just those other versions of the track that override the 2007 curbs. I had to comment out these two lines in ext_config.ini: ;RESOURCE_FILE_0 = spa_updated_textures/curbb_updt.dds ;RESOURCE_FILE_0 = spa_updated_textures/curbs_new_updt_2.dds because I had 2022 extension of Spa. Nothing I can really do as people have their own mods in their Kunos Spa and I don't want to upload whole Kunos track because of that. Cheers.

Yeah. I played these with the modern ads a while (you know Aramco, P-ZERO etc). Eventually it started to feel really FAKE and I started the skins project. I'm sure there's always something to improve but this is a good start for more authentic season experience.

For whatever reason there have been some skin filename issues with the ASR 1992 cars. At least there was in my initial package that I got from them. Use AC's object inspector and see if the filenames match in the /skin folder.

@ I’ve checked and I do seem to be missing the skins required (i.e. not present in the skins folder) although I have downloaded and installed the skin pack on their website. I’m therefore puzzled on where I am supposed to get those skins from?

@@gregorychoubana6755 The initial package has for example driver helmets named VRC_helmet, etc. I had to change the filenames to 2016_helmet_DIFF in order to make them visible in the game. My package is very old though. What kind of filenames you're missing? I'll check what I have.

@@detonator2112 Hello again Sir, I've checked last night and it's purely skin files that I'm missing. For example for the benetton b192 my skins folder do not have the "19_schumacher_r15_r16" folder.

Oh man that Sepang AI is brutal. No way I can get a pole there. By the way the ACU Sepang track version which is way more popular has much slower ai. And it had a weird pit issue. When AI cars pit around 10th or 11th lap, after the pitting they're suddenly 1 lap behind. I have no idea what causes it. Nothing to do with cars as I tested it with other cars as well. Strange that no one has reported it. But in the end of the day this Sepang version is way more competitive. Just lesser known track version. I can get pole sometimes. I've done 1:24 on Melbourne, Silverstone I can do high 1:18 or low 1:19, Magny-Cours is the slowest ai and I can almost always get a pole. Also Istanbul is a bit on the easier side. But the rest of the tracks it's quite challenging for me as well. Kunos tracks Spa, Monza and Nurburgring I've got the pole but you actually need a PERFECT lap and proper settings for that.
