Absolutely STUNNING job with the skins. Completely transformed the feeling of this track. Thanks. I have to try those seasons.

This looks really nice! It has such a good vibe. You’re not TMW modding on Patreon are you? He did a 1982 F1 remake (haven’t tried it yet) but you both probably operate separately?

Thanks man. No. I'm not on Patreon. I share everything I do 100% free. I have no idea about TMW. My motivation to fix these cars and tracks is purely gaming. I love playing these seasons and I want to make them results wise as accurate as possible. Just passion for classic F1. 1982 season is fully playable but it still needs more accurate Long Beach and fully working 80's Zandvoort. Shin is working on 1982 Detroit already. Cheers.

@@detonator2112 cheers matey, some good charity work you do 😜 Don’t know who the guy is but he’s having a Patreon page and did a remake of the SD 82 mod. What are the points you’ve improved on it, mainly based on creating a more natural result or also revised physics etc? Again, thanks for your work and being so friendly to share it!

@@ScuderiaGiancarlo The 1982, 1983 and 1984 seasons I have are based on SimDream cars which were the only cars available when I started the project. They were completely uncompetitive and they didn't function properly with race tyres. Like 3 seconds slower per lap on Jacarapegua, etc. I removed all other tyre models than supersoft, altered the suspension and anti rollbar, made fuel adjustments so that all cars have to pit during the 20-30 lap races and corrected all their skin issues (like correct helmets, nameplates, etc.) The seasons are good and competitive and I have minimized the crashes (however Kyalami and Dallas still have some). Then I have collected all best tracks available for each season and they're constantly improving as a community project with the friends at GT Planet. I'm not a great modder but I have 20 years of knowledge in F1 (I've watched every race 1982-1998 many times) and I know a lot about the subject (well it's a passion for me). For example my 1982 season the Cosworth powered cars have much less power but better fuel economy so that you can win races despite being compromised in power against the turbos (Brabham, Ferrari, Renault). Turbos have to pit twice in many races whereas you can do the race with one pitstop. In my 1982 season the default driver is Rosberg/Williams who won the WDC with the 4th or 5th best car on the grid because of reliability and consistency. Compensating with the fuel economy was the best way to do a realistic 1982 season where the player can still be competitive despite driving a car with considerably less power. Just one example. 1983 and 1984 pretty much all top teams had turbos already so duplicating the results wasn't that difficult. A mod that looks great and has all the most accurate graphics is useless if the season results (qualifying, races) aren't realistic. At least not for me. That's the most imporant aspect. This footage is from 1984 cars and as you can see Lauda (AI 100) and Prost (AI 100) dominated the qualifying and race. Lauda won the title 1984, with Prost losing it only by 1/2 points (because winner of 1984 Monaco Prost only collected half of the points (4 1/2) because the race was stopped due to heavy rain). Cheers.

@@detonator2112 lovely! That sounds really good. I’ll download it tonight and can’t wait to try :) I did quite some bike racing on Zolder and it has now the real track atmosphere. The 88 version didn’t really had that feeling. Stunning 👍🏼
