Excellent review. To the point and clear. Sony has an SDK that allows any software developer to write their own control program for Sony cameras for a monitor. It's only a matter of time before ALL monitors have camera control too. No control of the camera is one major FLAW of most monitors. Right now the few companies that have camera control are charging an absurd price for their tiny monitors. For now, I'll stick with the Monitor+ app which runs on a iPhone and Android (phone or tablet) and does everything this monitor does; without the high price! One additional thing the monitor does not do is show the recording levels...oh wait you went so fast did you show us audio meters at 11:40?..yes you did.. Does not have the focus box. ps. I think that monitor mount DOES rotate. There is an Allen screw in the center under the pivot.

the freewell anamorphic lens comes with a lens cap, they also sell ND filters for it. my question is what size millimeter is the cap and ND filter that screws on to the lens? i ask so i can screw a VND filter on it since freewell doesn't make one.

This is at a price point just below a ASD - at least in Canadian dollars. Why try and save a few hundred dollars and just get the real deal and not have to deal with the possibility of dealing with a defective product and warranty issues. It just is not worth it. And as someone pointed out, it is nowhere near half the cost of the ASD. Try like 80%.

Do you know which firmware version you used when you tested the lens?

My question is how is it with people going to so far away they disconnect then auto reconnecting? I need them to work on an environment will people might go out of range with it still recording then be able to reconnect by itself. Do you have experience with that or could you test it? Thank you

I just noticed at 7mn30 that at the left of the building (that is supposed to be a clinic but is actually the Anthea theatre in Antibes on the côte d'azur/south of France) we can see the tower of the fire station that is just behind with the firefighter logo on it. It's amazing how the south of France can look like LA in some places.

You have mentioned every single thing thats been on my mind and cleared everything up! I bought the M3 8gb ram and 512 storage last year and I REGRET IT! I experienced slow downs. I thought about upgrading to 16" M3 Max 1 TB, or 16" M4 Pro base with 512 SSD for video editing. I am concerned about 512 SSD, would this be enough for video editing?

Some people argue that 2.8 is necessary for night photography but this is not true. If your subject is still life you can used image stabilization that most camera bodies or lenses now have. You can use a tripod. If your subject is moving then you can bump up iso one stop. If these options don’t work then use the prime as it is way faster than 2.8.

I understand that it doesn't transmit sound but just record it internally ? Why is it better than the Wireles Pro that can generate timecode AND transmit sound ?
