Good info, unfortunately the part is quite expensive, but at least now I can rest easy that I am not throwing money away by not fixing this and getting a new machine instead.

Would this inlet housing also affect my dishwasher if it is not draining? I've already checked the filters and hoses. Only this plastic box looks hunky. And I'm trying to figure out if the float in it is stuck. thought I would try removing it like you have and rinse in out?

i used a screw driver to rotate it by hooking it from. one side and passing through the 'vents' all the way to other side then use it as lever to unscrew.

Yh breathable membraine works but when u get minus temperatures as we are it doesn't work how it should especially on a North facing side of a roof over fascia vents and tile vents help whats happening is warm air is hitting the cold side cooling down quickly and causing condensation

That's breathable membrane.....you shouldn't need those vents. There should be a free flow of air from the eaves to the ridge with fascia vents and a properly fitted dry ridge system.....something is definitely wrong if you're getting condensation on the underside of a breathable membrane.

Yes you are right, I have asked my builder friends and they all said if the weather hits minus degrees these types of membrane are not enough as I need extra air flow in the loft🫤

My eaves over hang and are just above the 1st floor windows? Noticed when getting the Xmas decks out. 1940s house 🤷🏼‍♂️ had a new roof and put some slate roof vents in

Sometimes loft insulation gets pushed up against the membrane stopping the air flow and not everyone has a dry ridge. If the occupants are drying their clothes inside and showering a lot with no trickle vents open or decent extraction then the moisture Will permiate through the plasterboard into the loft, nothing serious. Those vents in are a great way to alleviate this.
