Does that “% success rate” mean memorized, looking at the material, at tempo speed or slow play through?

This is very useful. I am an old retired scientist (not a musician ) with a great love for classical guitar. I play for myself and my cats and really appreciate these video's.

I have done all those things with hundreds of other variations and I am still brutal, well adequate. I am 70 years of age and was doing those exercises since I was 12. Where did I go wrong!!!

Are you 1. Playing well due to all those exercises with variations, starting from age 12 2. Unsatisfied about your playing and think that all those exercises did not help much even practised for a long time ?

Thank you. I can not understand. Should fingers go in different directions. While one finger make a pluck , previous finger goes back and this is simultaniously? Or every finger go independently from other fingers? And make its own movements independently from others fingers. How is controlled back movements of fingers?

I like to say there are two rules for playing a folk instrument like guitar: 1. There is no wrong way, only better ways. 2. There _is_ a wrong way: _with tension_.

One question though. What happens if you can't physically do a certain stretch as in 2 trills on high e string in Adelita (Tarrega) bars 11 and 12? I feel like pressing harder hense more tension.
@DiegoAlonsoMusic14 күн бұрын
Hi! Thanks so much for commenting. It’s true that sometimes we do need to add an instant of extra tension to get something to work, but what I found to be the best option is to see how you can readjust your posture and mechanics to make sure that the extra tension is as little as possible. Thanks again!

Brilliant advice Diego. As an older leaner I wanted to improve quicker and be more perfect so repeated music. Now I learn to play with less tension and just take longer to lean a piece. And only practice when in the right mind space to do it correctly. 👍

Can you make a video about how to avoid injuries? How often we should be taking breaks, hand stretches, how many reps should we limit ourselves to, etc. Or if you already have a video on this, can you point me to it?

Hi! Thanks for commenting. I have some of those answers in this video below. Also, take a look at my playlist titled “how to practice“ and you’ll find a few other videos that could be helpful. Thank you so much! kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKjIl62Me6-AiZo

@ I will check them out. I’m really enjoying your content. Maybe “enjoying” is not the right word. “Utilizing”, that’s probably a better word. You’re putting out really important content, in my opinion, and I really appreciate it.

Yo creo que instintivamente tiro el codo hacia atras en lugar de hacia arriba pero siempre he oido que es hacia arriba. En muchos vídeos parece que tambien lo mueven hacia arriba (lo cual a mí me cansa enseguida)
