i do ascension 0 runs just iron clad for fun. just finishes a run 146 hp and beat time eater while having 121 strength. and i also dragons tail. sneko eye and the pyramid. turn 1 duplicated demon form with potion and cast, and power potion another demon form so 3 demon forms casted turn 1. and then later on doubled my strength. i didn't much blocks in i got widdled down to like 40 something hp from 146 though. didn't need to use dragon tale it would of revived me. i had 146 hp from pear, and early game feast. i was reliably connecting finishing blow with it on all the enemies pretty much. farmed a high hp pool.

Pretty sure Madness was unnecessary for the infinite here. Bloodletting makes 3 energy, Dual Wield costs 1 and Reaper costs 2 while drawing both your other cards. You end up with an extra Reaper in hand so you can play the loop without Dual Wield to get rid of it and net an extra energy to make block or do anything else you need to do. Obviously Madness was still really good but I don’t think you needed it

Not if you play Clad often. I've skipped tungsten loads because it turned off my rupture

I skip it pretty regularly on clad! It's often bad with self damage being a very strong wincon in a lot of scenarios, runic cube being the most obvious. And it's sometimes amazing. It depends! On other classes tho, don't think i ever turned my back on it...
