Great cabin! Is the sound too much ever?

That DVD player, omg flashbacks :-). That safe, I wish they have that in all hotels and cruisecabins. I seem to remember Hotel New York in Rotterdam has also interior facing rooms similar to this hotel.

We were Iona back in October last year in a cabin underneath the sky dome. To say it was noisy would be an understatement. We found the food in the speciality restaurants pretty good, but service in main dining room was slow. Bar service in the crows nest equally slow. Sat in the main atrium, it seemed like a poor version of the London North Circular with people simply wandering from one end to the other of the ship. Overall compared to other lines we were left pretty cold by the whole experience.

Why on earth is there any tax ( on drinks or drinks’ gratuity) when you are offshore ? No tax outside of the country’s offshore limit. I would have asked and complained. Our British humour is very different to the American, I rarely find any of their jokes funny. The closet thing to the British humour is in Canada, on the east coast at the Maritime provinces plus Newfoundland and Labrador province. I lived in Nova Scotia there for the first 6 years of life in Canada and at work we had such laughs, have never had as good of a laugh since being on the west coast. Best wishes. Well done.

Did you fly all the way to Florida for only a 7 day crz, or did you do something else while there? It is just that we live in Vancouver and it takes all day for us to fly to FLL, there is always a connecting flight, so we always said we would not go to the Caribbean for less than a ten day one. Plus we would stay at one of our time shares there for several nights pre. Interesting as I always thought we would never do Carnival. I did have a 2 day one for work over 25 yrs ago. One just hears of fights, brawling and drunkards on that line. So good to see this. Thx so much.

Hey Carol did you ever try our Canadian version, a Caesar cocktail? Like a Bloody Mary but with Clamato juice instead of Tomato juice.

Did you try putting your tv on and finding a channel to find what the outside view was like. We did that going thru the Panama, we had a balcony so we sat out there, but I went inside to the tv ( on Princess) a few times to see what was off the front of ship and the side view.

I love your hotel reviews! They are always so thorough and practical. Maybe Butterfinger is an American thing? If they are fresh they are a bit dry but nothing like you were describing. The older they get the more dry they become. Anyway, love Butterfingers and still love you guys! Looking forward to seeing the upcoming Celebrity series.

We had a suite also, loved how we were offer our own tipples for the bar which my husband didn’t use so told to take it home, added bonus.
