Thank you. Thank you. This was first go at this mediation and I feel more relaxed and hopeful; less distressed. Finally, something helpful. Not just people trying to sell me snake oils or $4500 sound therapy devices.

love when youtubers say to _never_ do something, because it's always hyperbolic BS and makes it very easy to click "Don't recommend this channel"

I found this helpful. I’m fully habituated now. One great hint was to count your breathing, breath in for 5 counts, hold for 5 counts, breath out slowly as you can, all the time listening to your T & visualize the numbers as you count, after 5 or so reps, you should start dreaming, I used to listen to a song on quiet volume. T is all about how you react to it & how you accept it, if your in panic mode it will be worse, the volume doesn’t increase, it’s our perception of it, yes for some reason we’re more aware of it at times, if we’re stressed or sick, I used to repeat to myself “I will, I can get better”.. it won’t happen over night, but “You WILL get better.

I don’t get it, have tinnitus en visual snow. How would you see it as a friend. De visual snow made me lose my job, al the time nausea, muscle pain and tinnitus. Reading almost not, so hard and immediately headache… Not driving car anymore, working some hours is super hard and I’m only 30. From super active person to nothing.

Hi Nate, just came across this video. I've had tinnitus for over 2 years now after getting COVID. I've spent over $1000 with various "treatments". CBT, MBTSR. And didn't get anywhere. Your video is so very different and explains what needs to be done for it to work. I'll be replaying your videos every day. Thanks for making them. Mark.

@@NateKlempMeditation Nate. Your method worked for me the 1st few times. I would mediate and the high pitch sound would go away. Now it stopped happening and no matter how long I mediate for it won't go away. How long after 15 years did it take you to noticed a major difference? The sound I have is so high pitched I can't go to work or do anything, but wait to go to sleep the next night for it to go away. Thanks for any of your suggestions. Mark

habituation is great and i use meditation everyday before i had tinnitus and more so now. BUT, i wish you would start this video by saying. Habituation is a great but you should not give up trying to find anything that might be causing your tinnitus. Too many people go straight to habituation and do not look holistically at themselves and all the other ailments that could be leading your body to imbalance and possibly tinnitus.

Hi Nate. I listened to your 10 minute tinnitus video and I got completely lost in the technique which I found powerful. This is in great contrast to my experience of some other YT videos for meditation. I have tinnitus and I find that most of the time I can put it out of my mind. But other times it’s intrusive. I try a treat it as my friend, bit weird I know, and not something frightening. That also works for me. Steve

My apologies if this is really out of pocket but this morning I took my first dose of Vyvanse and I became aware of a sudden increase in meta-awareness. What I became aware of was the fact that due to the medication, I now have a choice with regards to where I place my attention. I was no longer needing to manipulate myself or life in order to force myself into focusing on something. I sat with this awareness for a while and just had compassion toward myself for having lived this long without that capacity. I had an inkling that what I was experiencing was meta awareness (due my research into metacongitive therapy) and I found your video. You describe exactly what it's like to have meta awareness!

You say opportunity/-ies approximately halfway in, but I'm not sure if these are supposed to be specific at all. You seem commendable enough, genuinely, but this to me was a deft laying down vaguely esoteric layers I could get onboard with, but not new. ..worried I'm being both arrogant/punkish and reticent, but from a packed ice (pycrete, maybe) ontolog./existentialist pov. Still not sure if this is all fully up-and-up. Cracking proj.

Happened across this just now. Chuffed this sort of thing's still possible on KZbin. One thing I must try get out the way is (and, respectfully, whatever it was doesn't really matter cos everything in the first few mins were riddled with the same apparently/convincingly personable and sincere interest common to the both of us; to anyone either riding--experiencing--transcending the cosmos' squalls and maelstroms, or staring spitefully into it hoping defiance is worth one last roll) respect your persistence with the channel. Subbed and following. Been spending two goes/whatevers a fortnight over the past few months because sleep deprivation gives me a disassociative relative bliss--apathy after the 36 hr mark. Visuals after

Yes, it can be really helpful to practice meditation in these settings that bring up uncomfortable emotions. I would just recommend pacing it so that you don't go too far too fast. You want to experience shifting out of your comfort zone but not shifting so far out that you end up creating more emotional harm for yourself.
