Great looking layout. Would it be possible for you to do a video on the track plan and the inventory of the tracks used? I am planning to build a 6x4 with my daughter. Will run Marklin HO on the outer independent loop and OO/HO on the inner loops. Many thanks.

Yeh don’t know why they ask so much money for these xpts ,I managed to win this in an eBay auction for £51 so was quite happy it’s in excellent condition,how many coaches did they used to run on them,I would presume they had a power car at the back also .Hope you are having some nice weather down there 👍👍👍👍

XPT! Strangely enough I was looking (for some unknown reason at stupid o'clock in the morning, just like now really!) for images of these on googlieyes and saw the Auscision HO models of these. 7 coach sets, available in 3 different liveries and absolutely excellent. The price to our aus brothers and sisters? Aus$ 1,400 - $1,650, so £700 to £850 if you want sound. Expensive on the face of it but considering some single locos can cost more than half that figure down under I think that this is not too bad of a deal. Still could never afford it though😂

Hi ,I use a rubber mostly,and also meths and a rag,which clears all the oil up ,also important to clean the points,on the contact points in the switching part,.if you run Hornby track like me,there is a small contact point which connects under the rail which also need to be clean,

cheers Trotski, nice to see the trains running again. how often do you need to clean the track and of so what methods do you use? reason I ask, I had some running problems recently, I normally go round with the track rubber but still had some issues. I just recently tried the track magic and all my running issues have gone, seems to be good stuff. 👍
