So cool. I'm 69 and I learned driving my dad's old 45 ford pickup. Had the starter in the floor and standard of course. Dad would let up all drive in his lap and one would get to shift. When him and Mom were gone, my brother, one year older, and I would drive around and around our garage in our yard. Hit a fence or two and maybe clipped the shed, but Dad never said a word even though we'd run the gas out and killed the grass around the track we drove. He passed when I was 10 and I remember those days like it was yesterday. I can still smell the exhaust and oil from that flathead. You're a good son. You have made your family proud.

I have a brand new throttle body that’s what the check engine light was on for but now I just have that problem where it will does while idling I was thinking maybe the idle control valve but I can’t find its location or if a 2006 Chevy impala even has one
