All of them are not safe country for old people, some people tried to kill me in Thailand for money with me. I am Malay Muslim man from Peninsula, and I worked before in Penang (northern peninsular), Kota Kinabalu (Sabah, Borneo) and Miri (Sarawak,Borneo). Dating in Malaysia, are so different even compared to its neighboring country like Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia. Generally, most Malaysian are conservative when it comes to relationship between man and woman, where people only date with the intention of getting married, so people seldom date if there is no possibility of marriage. However, I would say that people in Borneo, they are generally more liberal as the Muslim are minority in Borneo, so the culture affect the whole community making even Muslims can be more liberal, compared to Peninsular are complete opposite. Sex before marriage are kind of Taboo (happened but hidden). Sex worker are prohibited through out the country, exception applies (underground, behind close door). For foreign Man, if you are looking for "Dating Only" partner, it is better chance in Borneo. However, if you are looking for marriage, I would say that it is almost equal chances, provided your are willing to kind of assimilate with the locals. For foreign Lady, it is the same anyhow anywhere...Dating Only or Marriage, Borneo or Peninsula, it is the same chances to find local man.
