Nice work man! I use the transpose function a lot but wish there was a way to do it without holding down shift as I'd like to have the other hand free to operate other synths.

Nice project Peter, thanks for sharing. Couple of questions though; the 470 Ohm resistor, does this replace the small DC-DC converter used earlier to in some way separate the power for the display module? And; have you experienced any draining of the cells since you have them constantly connected to the BSM. I mean the BSM is still monitoring the voltage I think perhaps they also consume some power?

I’ve got the exact same ski with 80hrs on it, the only mod I’ve done is an after market prop. I get an extra 10kmh top end speed(sits on about 108kmh) and its way better for towing surfers behind. No cavitation at all any more. Great work on the rebuilt!!

Juan CH I brought the after market prop online, then u need to get the right spline key from a seadoo dealership to Thame the prop off. Or you could get the shop to do it when u get a service.

If I only knew 20% of what you know about engines, because you went all in 1000%. Torque wrenches, gauges everywhere, measuring devices, engine lift smh. not to mention the polish job at the beginning (Nice to get that out of the way first), the jet pump restore and prop job. Man you put on a clinic. very very impressive. Good on you 👍 Now it’s Funtime!

Nice design and very compact, I like it. Just curious why you opted for 12V charge supply and not 5V from a USB charger? The BMS only charges the cells upto 4.7V so 12V charging supply is not required, could just usb a USB power charger. There are no official datasheets for these BMS boards so using them seems alot like guess work. Also in your circuit the Ground wire is floating on the LED Display so that will not function correctly and I'm surprised it even works without a ground connection.

Arnold Rimmer He is not only charging from an external 12V source but also powering it from 12V as required.
@arnolduk123
@arnolduk123 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I know that but the project is supposed to be portable and run off batteries for power. It's also a buck/boost so the 5V from a USB power source can be boosted to 12V quite easily. My point is that having a 5V usb power source for charging would be more ideal than a 12V adapter as you could also use a portable 5V usb power bank when the batteries are depleted. Therefore, still keeping with the portability theme and avoiding mains AC wall adapaters.
